Starro crashed the end of the Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Justice League Edition. It declared it had traveled through time and space to destroy the most talented super hero team in the DC universe. The Justice League pointed at the winners of the competition, the Teen Titans, who had just rubbed their victory in the League's face. Starro repeatedly smashed the Titans with one of its appendages. Starfire entered the stage to join the Titans, unaware of what was happened, and was repeatedly smashed as well. The League stood there and watched as Birdarang ended the episode. Starro was invited to a Space House for a free vacation and was unknowingly collected by Brainiac. It soon learned it was sharing the house with the Teen Titans and a team called the Super Hero Girls from a parallel universe. It rested in a cryotube and later learned it had a roommate, the parallel universe Bumblebee. It went out of its tube and left a slime trail all over the house.

Bumblebee was the only one who could fit in the power lifter so she had to conquer her fears. She slammed Starro around then Robin who ate the slime in a misguided attempt to prove he was a superior detective but turned into a Starro, too. Starro was eventually ejected into space. It was annoyed over the whole ordeal and regretted accepting the invitation. At some point, Starro was imprisoned by the Chief and kept in a tube underground between the Doom Patrol's home and his secret laboratory.
