When the Sandwich of Power was split up into four pieces and scattered across the world, three Sandwich Guardians were assigned to protecting the Mystical Bacon, King's Lettuce, and Stellar Tomato each. While possessing super strength, the Guardians can also generate a sword in combat. In the present, they fought against Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Starfire. Eventually, they were all defeated and reduced to rubble. Starfire punched the tomato's guardian from the top of his head, Cyborg destroyed the bacon's with rockets, and the lettuce's destroyed when Beast Boy turned into a whale and landed on it.
