Roy G. Bivolo had an eye problem as a child that was cured by a pair of special goggles his father, a genius optometrist, built for him. He grew up to become an artist but became frustrated with a lack of appreciation over his works by those in the art community. He became a supervillain called Rainbow Raider. Rainbow Raider ransacked the Jump City Museum of Art of its classic masterpieces on the same day the Teen Titans took Starfire there to expose her to real art. Raider passed by them on a rainbow bridge and sacked several paintings. The Titans pursued him but Raider threw some frames at their heads. He was so preoccupied with laughing at them that he went right into a wall. The Titans cornered him but Raider pointed out he still had his magical goggles. He blasted them aside then fired upon the Mona Lisa and jumped into the canvas like it was a portal to another dimension. The Titans followed him inside. Raven spotted an alien saucer. Beast Boy slapped Robin out of vindication for being smacked for his "the Mona Lisa is alien invasion warning" conspiracy theory.

Raider hopped atop the saucer and vowed they would never catch him. Suddenly, Mona Lisa popped out of the saucer and revealed her true and horrific alien face. Raider fell off in fright then the saucer flew off. Raider ran off into "Whistler's Mother." They knocked the title character off her chair. Cyborg was giddy they were jumping into a painting while inside another painting like "Inception." The Titans startled the "Girl With A Pear Earring." Raider rode a rainbow out of her mouth. The Titans fired at Raider in a Piet Mondrian Composition but missed and broke a square. The Titans burst through the boat in Manet's "Boating" and ended up in "Starry Night." Raider rain into the Arles Inn and a sign fell on his head. The Titans found themselves in "Bedroom in Arles." Raider popped up from under a blanket and revealed it was his secret headquarters. He bumped his head on the low ceiling. Cyborg noted the room was a little cramped for a headquarters. Raider quibbled the rent was cheap and all he could afford as an artist.

Raven asked him if he was an artist, how could he steal someone else's. Raider claimed it wasn't fair and his art was just as good as theirs but no one appreciated it because the world was filled with a "bunch of dum-dums." Cyborg sat on an ear by mistake and processed his reasoning, he stole the art that people actually appreciate. Raider admitted that sounded stupid but it was his thing then added he was going to destroy what he stole with overexposure from flash photography. He revealed an antique camera and started with "The Scream" as well as the slow process of changing the light bulb. He proclaimed after a million more times, the paintings would fade into oblivion. Starfire approached him and asked to see his art. He was stunned and got one out from his closet. It was the same creepy cat painting she just found in a dumpster. Starfire was elated. The others repeated their opinion it was not real art. Raider got angry. He blasted his painting, wrapped them in a rainbow lasso, and pulled them into it.

The Titans found themselves in a battle against the cat, itself, a giant that overpowered them at every turn. Raven was pinned under its front paws to which she complimented the composition. Beast Boy and Cyborg questioned how the cat had eye lasers after they were roasted by them. Robin charged but he suddenly saw the cat wearing a Batman mask and he fell on his face crying. Starfire pointed out the painting had good composition, raised questions, and evoked motions. They realized it was real art after all. Raider felt vindicated and fell off the cat's head. He thanked Starfire for recognizing his art was real art and agreed to help them return the paintings. He added he felt reinvigorated as an artist and mused he just needed a little positive reinforcement then hugged the cat's head to its discomfort. Starfire got another idea. Raider smiled and opened fire. The Titans finished putting the paintings back up but realized they were trapped in one while Starfire and Rainbow Raider had tea in the Titans Tower. Raider was in Jump City Prison when the Titans broke Santa Claus out.
