Katarou is Robin's arch nemesis and a master martial artist. Robin learned Katarou was coming and tried to teach the other Teen Titans martial arts but they were only interested in instant gratification and took short cuts with montages. The Titans investigated a proximity alert on the roof but only ran into a farting pigeon. Katarou suddenly appeared. Robin referred to him as their nemesis. Katarou clarified he was only Robin's nemesis and thought the other four seemed pretty cool. The other Titans reciprocated. Katarou donned a pair of shades and declared he was cool. Starfire and Raven suggested they should hang out like at the movies. Robin ordered them to charge. Katarou easily beat them and took out Beast Boy with a kick, Raven with a punch, Starfire with a knee, and Cyborg with his butt. Katarou laughed at their so called martial arts and dismissed it as garbage. Robin lectured them about there were no shortcuts and property taught them the Crane Kick over a long period of time using the dissolve filming device.
Katarou wanted to get on with it but Robin promised they would defeat him very, very slowly. Eventually, the Titans got to stretches. Katarou wondered why it took so long. Raven shouted no shortcuts. Katarou told them to hurry up. The next morning, he read the newspaper while Robin berated Beast Boy about pointing his toes properly. The Titans reached their middle ages and Katarou kept waiting but was now an old man with a cane. Robin concluded his teachings after the Titans reached old age. They finally charged Katarou but he died a long time ago and only his skeleton remained. The Titans declared victory then fell over.
