Harley Quinn was once a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum until she fell in love with the Joker, went insane and became Harley Quinn. Harley was one of the new villains drawn into Control Freak's conflict with the Teen Titans during a staged Island Adventure stunt. During an Easter egg hunt to solve Robin's unfinished one, many villains were carelessly released so the Titans could search the Arkham Asylum cell for clues. Harley was one let out.
Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman plotted to rob a bank in Jump City but they needed extra muscle. They came up with an elaborate ruse to recruit Starfire and Raven for a roller derby match to gain their trust. They approached them at the Jump City Rollerway. Harley understood they didn't trust them because they were the bad guys but implored them to hear them out. Starfire and Raven didn't know what roller derby was. Ivy asked them if they liked skating. Harley asked them if they liked punching people in the face. Raven quipped who doesn't. Harley asked they let them show them what roller derby was all about. They agreed and headed outside. Harley kicked the door open, and her pet hyena Lou pulled up in a convertible. Harley told them Lou was their team manager. At the derby, Starfire and Raven agreed to join their team, the Gotham City Sirens. Harley quickly explained the game on a chalkboard then revealed they were up. Starfire and Raven were hesitant since they never practiced. Harley told them to just wing it.
Things didn't go well and the Brainy Brawlers were the first to score. The Sirens wearily went to their bench. Lou said something but it was all gibberish. Harley realized he was telling them if they wanted to win, they had to pull out the big guns. She got out her oversized mallet. Harley pounded the ground with her mallet, causing a piece of the rink to rise up and nail a Brawler in the chin then later clobbered a Brawler into the shape of a pancake. With 30 seconds to go, the score was 112 to 108. The Brawlers skated ahead and used their telekinesis to form a literal wall they called the Brawler Wall. Harley believed the only way to get Starfire past was to do the dangerous Roller Vault. Ivy became concerned. Harley boasted her name was "Dangerous" but Ivy took out her old Arkham Asylum I.D. and pointed out it was really "Frances." They performed the Roller Vault, hopping on each others shoulders. Ivy produced a long branch.
Harley, seated at the top, took it and used it to pole vault everyone at the Brawler Wall. They threw Starfire up towards the top of the wall. She fired starbolts at the two Brawlers at the top of the wall. They bent over in pain and Starfire passed over them to the finish and scored the winning five points. Harley found a note on their windshield. She learned the Brainy Brawlers kidnapped Lou out of spite for losing to them. Starfire and Raven decided to help rescue him. Harley drove them to the Brawlers' hideout which was just the bank. Starfire and Raven easily took out the security cameras, guards, and steel door. Harley took the gold, Catwoman took the diamonds, and Ivy took the cash and Lou drove them away from the scene. Starfire and Raven pursued them and took out Ivy and Catwoman. Raven conjured a giant jar of jam then Starfire heaved it in front of the convertible. Lou drove right into it. Lou and Harley popped out of the pile covered in jam. Lou licked half the jam off Harley's face and laughed. Harley claimed they were going to eventually break out and asked Starfire and Raven if they wanted to get the team back together then. Starfire and Raven agreed to.
During Christmas, Harley was at the Jump City Prison when the Titans broke Santa Claus out. She wrote "Mommy's Lil Clayface" on Clayface's back. Harley attended the DC Invitational and competed with Batgirl over a golf ball. Batgirl blew it towards a hole while she blew it away. Harley Quinn attended the 100th anniversary party at the Warner Bros. Studios.
