The Teen Titans held villain try-outs for the next super villain to become their enemy. Folding Paper Man, Bootface, and 50% Chad were interviewed. Folding went first and demonstrated his elasticity. Cyborg liked his positive attitude then asked what superheroes he worked with before. Folding revealed he fought the Justice League. He thought it was great until they crumpled him up and threw him into a trash can. Starfire found it typical, Beast Boy wasn't surprised they fought dirty, and Robin promised they would never do that. Raven asked what evil schemes he was coming off of. Folding admitted none but he was anxious to get back into villainy after briefly going straight and taking a job at a scissors factory. He joked he wasn't cut out for it and laughed. He asked if that was too much. Robin assured him punning was an excellent villain asset. Raven liked Chad for being quirky and unpredictable while Cyborg liked the notion of a part-time villain. Robin still thought Folding Paper Man and Bootface had gimmicks that might be fun to battle.
Beast Boy suggested making them duke it out and pick the winner. Starfire admitting seeing them in action would help them decide. Robin got an idea and asked them to commit a few crimes to help them determine who to fight on a long-term basis. Folding Paper Man quickly attacked a child's birthday party in a backyard. He was angered by the abundance of paper products: paper plates, paper pinatas, paper wrapping paper because it was all wasted. He grabbed a boy by the collar and asked him if he thought paper grew on trees. The Titans arrived. He unveiled his origami power and turned into a giant airplane and attacked. He simply hit Cyborg's chest like a paper airplane. Cyborg giggled at being tickled. Folding Paper Man reckoned Cyborg was impervious to his air attack but boasted his mighty warship and turned into a paper boat. He charged but bounced off the end of the kiddie pool and sank. Starfire spoke for everyone in how disappointing he was. Beast Boy suggested a crane.
Folding Paper Man stipulated the crane was too hard and he could only bend himself seven times. He demonstrated by folding himself like paper seven times, feeling pain each time. Robin told him they would let him know and the Titans hurried off to fight Bootface. Folding Paper Man and Bootface objected to them choosing 50% Chad. Folding Paper Man was insulted and revealed he spent all day practicing his origami. The Titans tried to let them down but the duo vowed to destroy them. Folding Paper turned into a vicious crane. The Titans were impressed and asked for a chance to reconsider but Bootface declared it was too late. Chad stated he was destroying the Titans. He spin kicked Folder Paper Man then folded him eight times. Folding Paper shouted in pain over his broken back.
Folding Paper Man accepted Starfire's offer to join her in a mission to Tamaran to surprise her sister Blackfire. In the sleeping quarters, there was a desk for Folding Paper Man and stacks of paper. Folding Paper Man fit himself into an envelope, closed it, turned over, and napped. He was made the head of the paperwork. Platz the computer offered Folding Paper Man a useful job, sending the ship into warp drive but the console looked like a baby toy. Folding Paper Man want to file a warp drive request first. Platz did it himself and everyone was thrown into the wall. The ship reached a cruising speed of 920,000 miles a second. Platz hit the brakes hard and pretended their was an emergency, a blob was attacking them. Folding Paper Man later fainted at the sight of the blob. Starfire decided they had to go outside to retrieve Tooth Fairy after Platz ejected her. They, too, ended up in the blob and attacked in vain. Folding Paper Man turned himself into a paper airplane and transported everyone back to the Ship.
Starfire was all but ready to give up but Platz gave her one last option, the Cadmium Thermabomb but when detonated, nothing would survive its power. Everyone made peace with making the ultimate sacrifice but it was just a prank by Platz. nfetti dropped on them and he cleared the smushed bug with water and a windshield wiper. Platz felt entitled to some fun since he had to haul them around. The bug's angry giant mother found the ship in space. No one believed Platz. She swallowed it whole. 50% Chad and Tooth Fairy got them out. The bug chomped at them while Folding Paper Man worked on the other half of the plan. He completed a giant paper version of the baby bug and launched into space. The bug teared up, hugged it, weeped, kissed it, and left with it. The crew cheered. Platz admitted he underestimated them and declared they were all right in his book then announced a celebration but Tooth Fairy was ejected into space again by Platz.
Starfire acquiesced and declared Freaky Face was the new captain then briefed everyone the mission of the day was to find a Moon Flower as part of their upcoming visit to Tamaran. Folding Paper Man checked the space guide and saw there was an Astro Market nearby. Freak took them to a dangerous planet instead. Tooth Fairy set off a Skullbot. Freak directed them to take cover behind a junk pile but it was for an ice cream party. Folding Paper Man didn't think it was the time for a party but Freak folded him into a paper hat and put him on Starfire's head. Folding Paper Man was annoyed with 50% Chad's stomach growling. He pointed out he didn't have a stomach. A pack of junkyard alien dogs chased the crew. Seven space days into the journey, Starfire's crew located the Celestial Sugar Crystal, the second rare item on her list. The crew took it literally and salivated over candy. Folding Paper Man folded himself into a candy wrapped and got eaten by Freaky Face. He spit out in disgust, claiming Folding Paper Man tasted like garbage.
A teleporter glitch occurred and they lost the top halves of their bodies. Starfire tried to keep them calm and suggested improvising. She used Silkie as a head while Folding Paper Man made a statuesque paper head. Every idea failed and eventually led to the engine blowing up. As a result, Security Bot 5 activated. Starfire revealed Platz installed it to protect the Ship from meat sacks. Freak pointed out they were meat sacks. Security Bot deemed them threats and tried to destroy them. With no other choice they followed Chad into a room and pretended to be operating a day spa. Security Bot let its guard down once Folding Paper Man massaged the right spot on its shoulders and sat down. Security Bot remembered it was programmed to destroy. Folding Paper Man stated no one worked on a spa day. Eventually, Security Bot relaxed and declared they were friends. Some time later, Security Bot fixed the teleporter. The top halves of the crew returned and the sugar crystals had been retrieved already. Starfire apologized to Chad but realized their bodies were mixed up. She had Freak's lower torso, Folding Paper Man had Starfire's, Tooth Fairy had Folding Paper Man's, and Freak had Tooth Fairy's.
The crew located a Galactic Egg on an asteroid but the surface was too hard for their drill. Tooth Fairy turned her wand into a dentist's drill and successfully revealed the egg. It was still lodged in the asteroid. Folding Paper Man turned himself into a crowbar but the egg would not budge and a piece ricocheted and hit Freaky Face's mouth. His top middle tooth fail off and he threw a tantrum. Starfire opted to have everyone teleported back to The Ship and came back after he calmed down. Tooth Fairy was eager to have the tooth but Freak refused and stomped her. Everyone explained what the Tooth Fairy's job was. She revealed she now left $5 for a tooth instead of a quarter. Everyone happily knocked a tooth out. Tooth Fairy lamented she would never know the joy of losing a tooth and getting money for it. She revealed she never lost a tooth because her magic was too strong. Starfire vowed they would help to rectify that. Starfire opted to try kind and gentle counseling. Folding Paper Man folded himself into a chaise lounge. It failed and she became angry and tried to pry a tooth out with her hands.
Platz offered a simple solution: use the teleporter to isolate a tooth and beam the rest of her away. It worked. Starfire ordered Platz to teleport the Tooth Fairy out of space and back onboard. They tucked Tooth Fairy in for the night. The loss of the tooth caused her magic to fall out of alignment and she turned into an angry Tooth Monster. The next morning, to add insult to injury, the others found out Folding Paper Man gave her a nickel instead of five dollars. She demanded her tooth back but Freak couldn't remember what he did with it. They were chased throughout the Ship until he remembered he ate it. The crew convinced Folding to turn himself into a substitute tooth but it was too gross for him. Platz guided them to the teleporter room so they could beam the tooth back into Tooth Fairy's mouth. It worked and she turned back to abnormal. 50% Chad pointed out they still needed to get the Galactic Egg on the asteroid. Tooth Fairy suggested using the same strategy and she beamed the egg onboard. Out of gratitude, Starfire, Freak, and Folding Paper Man knocked all their teeth out for her.
During the search for the lost city of Tamanra, the crew discovered a flooded room. Folding Paper Man folded himself into a submarine. They discovered a monster was at the bottom of the room sleeping on a drain. It awoke and grabbed Folding Paper Man with its tentacles. Freaky Face was fired as a torpedo and knocked out the monster. They managed to destroy the Fire Crown before Blackfire could use it to take over the galaxy.
