The Teen Titans held villain try-outs for the next super villain to become their enemy. Folding Paper Man, Bootface, and 50% Chad were interviewed. Bootface went second and noted he'd only worked with Batman. He pointed out Batman left an imprint of his boot on his face. The Titans laughed. Beast Boy asked him where he saw himself in five years. Bootface believed he would be still working through the trauma of having a boot print on his face. Raven noticed he brought a weapon to show them. He presented his bazooka and noted he kept it with him at all times because you never know when someone might try to stomp you with their boot. The Titans liked his paranoid obsession. He thanked them. Raven liked Chad for being quirky and unpredictable while Cyborg liked the notion of a part-time villain. Robin still thought Folding Paper Man and Bootface had gimmicks that might be fun to battle. Beast Boy suggested making them duke it out and pick the winner.
Starfire admitting seeing them in action would help them decide. Robin got an idea and asked them to commit a few crimes to help them determine who to fight on a long-term basis. Bootface drenched Jump City in bubblegum to prevent anyone from kicking him with their boots ever again. He shot streets, stores, people, and billboards with his bazooka. The Titans simply jumped out of their footwear (Cyborg separated from his ankles) and punched him in unison off his van. He asked if he got the gig. Robin told him they would let him know. They saw an explosion and set off to investigate. Folding Paper Man and Bootface objected to them picking 50% Chad. Bootface revealed he just upgraded his weaponry. The Titans tried to let them down but the duo vowed to destroy them. Bootface turned the street into quicksand. The Titans were impressed and asked for a chance to reconsider but Bootface declared it was too late. Chad stated he was destroying the Titans. He drop kicked Bootface into a building.
