Baby New Year is the leader of the Holiday Mob. Despite being a baby, he has a mustache, a command of the English language comparable to an adult, and engages in criminal activities. In 1953, the Holiday Mob celebrated the New Year in Cuba at the Hotel Kyuba. Baby told Santa he considered him his most trusted friend and he considered him a brother. Santa felt the same. Turkey and the Easter Bunny dragged in an interloper, a reindeer, who was snooping around outside the hotel with a present. Bunny pulled the bow and grenades, dynamite, and a bazooka popped out. They suspected Santa was making a move to take over the mob. He denied it. The bazooka rolled over and showed Santa's name was engraved on it. Baby kissed him and told him he broke his heart. Turkey and Easter Bunny took Santa away and he was removed. In the present, Santa revealed he needed Beast Boy's help to get him back into the Holiday Mob, the criminal organization led by Baby New Year. He mused they would love to have him because he was even shadier than them.
Santa revealed he was once a member but was ousted after in an incident in 1953 in Cuba. He claimed he missed his "brothers" ever since. Beast Boy was moved and agreed to help. Santa tossed him an elf suit because the Holiday Mob had an affinity for elves and he needed a trusted source to vouch for him to get back in. They drove to the mob's headquarters, the Holiday HQ. Santa kicked Beast Boy out into the street and reminded him not to embarrass him. Beast Boy entered and claimed to be one Donnie Mistletoe, the elf who unionizes all of Santa's workshops. Baby New Year was honored to meet him and told him he did a great service to their elf brothers up north, his top earners. He even said he owed Donnie a debt of gratitude. Beast Boy asked for a favor, to let Santa back into the organization. Baby refused. Beast Boy told them Santa missed them and wanted to make amends. He pointed out New Years was about fresh starts and new beginnings. Baby admitted he made a good case and asked if he vouched for him. Beast Boy confirmed.
Baby asked him to kiss the ring, his binkie. It was wet and dripping but Beast Boy kissed it and gagged. Baby formally accepted Santa back in. Beast Boy rang his jingle bells. Santa came down the chimney, causing it to crack, causing everything on the mantle to fall off, a portrait to fall on Turkey, and Easter Bunny to fall on his stomach. Santa tried to start with his stock holiday greeting but Baby grabbed him and warned him if he even thought about making a move on him, he and his little helper would never celebrate another New Year. To prove his loyalty, Santa was sent with Beast Boy to deal with some business associates of Baby's that needed a little persuading, namely George Washington, Leprechaun, and Tommy Groundhog. The Easter Bunny and Turkey rolled up in a convertible and told Beast Boy and Santa that the Boss was impressed and decided to make Santa a made man again. Baby New Year had Santa present his hands. He dripped his ring onto them then made him repeat after him with, "May I roast like chestnuts on an open fire if I ever betray my friends again."
Baby congratulated Santa and declared he was officially back in. Santa thanked him and revealed in honor of the special occasion, he had a surprise waiting for him outside. Baby was touched Santa got him a brand new tricycle. He revealed he always wanted one for Christmas. Three reindeer emerged from the back of Santa's van and opened fire. Beast Boy tackled Baby to safety just in time. Beast Boy and the Holiday Mob took cover behind a car. Turkey countered with his cranberry gatling gun. The Easter Bunny fired his bazooka and blew up the van with an egg grenade. Santa ran out of ammunition and threw a grenade. While Beast Boy and the mob coughed in the smoke, Santa and the reindeer surrounded them. Santa declared he was in charge of the mob. Baby couldn't believe he trusted Santa. Santa believed taking over the Holiday Mob would help him take over all of the holidays. Beast Boy stopped him and presented his Titans Communicator. Beast Boy tapped it and FBI agents arrived. The Holiday Mob, Santa, and the reindeer were arrested. With all the evidence Beast Boy gathered in his undercover operation, there was enough to put them behind bars for a long, long time.
