Lois Lane is famous, award-winning journalist employed by the Daily Planet newspaper in Metropolis. She is more infamous for her investigative prowess, for venturing into active war zones, places devastated natural disasters, or getting in the way of a supervillain or two. Lane was less than excited when a new rival named Clark Kent began working alongside her but fell in love with the city's new protector, Superman. Eventually, she learned they were one in the same and settled down with him. Besides being Superman's romantic interest, she often serves as his moral compass and/or foil. As she helped Superman gather intelligence on the Elite, Lane began to doubt Superman could defeat them. On the day of the inevitable showdown, Lane found a note left by Superman to keep believing. Once the Elite were defeated, Lane embraced Superman once more.
