The Legion of Super-Heroes are a team of superheroes in the 31st century who took inspiration from Superman. They were founded by the trio Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Lightning Lad. The Legion Headquarters is based in Metropolis on Earth. In order to better assess and recruit members, a Legion Academy was later founded where hopefuls would attend as cadets and train under members. Saturn Girl is the current president of the team and approved Brainiac 5's admission into the Legion Academy despite a high level of suspicion from other members. After the Justice League was founded in the 21st century, the Legion's founders made contact with Superman. They remained in sporadic contact with a Time Bubble.
