Artemis, of the Bana-Migdhall tribe, decided to follow Queen Hippolyta. She became known as the fiercest warrior and lived for battle. Artemis seemed to have taken a position as second-in-command and involved in security of the island. Despite her peak physical condition, many believed that she was only surpassed in prowess by Diana. After two months of training on Themyscira, Kara Zor-El was put against Artemis. However, Superman interfered and restrained Artemis at the neck. She was less than thrilled and threatened Superman before walking off. Later on, in a battle against an army of Doomsday Animates, Superman saved Artemis by freezing one of the monsters.
