Located in the New Troy borough of Metropolis, the Daily Planet headquarters stands tall. From a bird's eye point of view, the roof of the Planet is home to a giant planet sculpture. Publicly held, the local newspaper is famous nationwide, even globally. This is mainly in part to the mantra of its managing editor, Perry White, who instills the pursuit of truth and tenacity in his reporters. The Planet's top two reporters are Lois Lane and Clark Kent, often accompanied by photographer, Jimmy Olsen.

During Superman and Batman's race to save the world from a Kryptonite meteor, the Daily Planet was witness to a series of events. First, after being attacked by a legion of supervillains, Superman and Batman retreated with Powergirl to the Planet rooftop. Convinced that Powergirl believed they were innocent, they asked her for help in convincing the others. Soon after a battle between the trio and Black Lightning's outfit took place. It quickly ended when Powergirl attacked Major Force and almost caused a nuclear meltdown. Black Lightning and Captain Atom contained the radiation. Afterwards, the accepted Force's connection to Luthor and allowed Batman, Superman, and Powergirl to continue with their mission. With the world saved and their names cleared, the duo met Lois Lane on a rooftop near the Planet. Batman disappeared before Lane could touch down on a company helicopter. Some time later, during Supergirl's maiden flight, she and Superman passed by the Daily Planet.
