As a failsafe, in case the world's super villains and super heroes failed to capture Superman and his accomplice, Batman, Lex Luthor kept a custom warsuit stored in a secret government outpost that would send a missile strike at the coming Kryptonite meteor. It gives him strength near Superman's, can generate synthetic Kryptonite blasts, and is capable of flight via rocket propulsion.
After Batman and Superman received data on the meteor from Amanda Waller, he utilized the suit and fought the duo in person. Luthor failed to stop their launch and was faced with fighting a very angry Superman. The chase extended overseas from Tokyo back to Metropolis. Superman heavily damaged the suit. The authorities extracted Luthor from the suit and confiscated it.
