Shrike is a master martial artist and is a member of Ra's Al Ghul's League of Assassins. He takes his name for a species of bird known to impale their prey on thorns. Shrike serves the League by operating a school that trains those in the art of assassination, named the Vengeance Academy. He tends to specialize in armed martial arts such as Escrima and uses blades, throwing stars, swords, and notably a pair of steel-reinforced tonfa.
