Alicia Pennyworth founded and runs a counseling group named "E*Vil," to help ex-supervillains become upstanding citizens. A newly retired Dr. Light went to E*Vil in Star City to turn his life around, becoming E*Vil's first member as a result. Together, Alicia and Light performed a lot of community service and helped a lot of ex-villains. Light's last invention, the AntiGlow, somehow came back online sending out a beacon, and Dr. Light himself picked up its frequency. He shut it down at the cost of his own life. A few months later, Alicia prepared to set up E*Vil in Gotham City. She bought King Tut, Killer Moth, Copperhead, and Giganta a building to fix up into a home. However, Claire Selton mistook a text and thought Alicia was secretly a supervillain. She convinced Damian Wayne to help her gather evidence at the building. Instead, there was a skirmish and the building collapsed. A new multi-floor home in a nice neighborhood was later secured for E*Vil.
For Go To Work With a Grown Up Day, Alicia took Damian with her to E*Vil. Alicia presented E*Vil to Damian and informed him they had a fun day of community outreach planned. She noticed they already started. King Tut and Killer Moth told a pair of little girls about the joys of urban farming and gave them some carrots. Moth thought it felt really good to earn the trust of the community. Giganta presented flowers she grew. He thanked her and picked one, confident villains could change but saw Sad Hatter going up the stairs inside with a TV set. Recalling how she and her father Mad Hatter nearly killed him the previous week, he attacked her and read her her rights. Alicia was mad and told him Sad Hatter was just moving in. He noticed her stuff off to the side. Damian tried to explain himself to Alicia without revealing his secret identity and fibbed about seeing her on the news doing bad stuff. He asked her if he could trust her enough to at least give Sad Hatter a chance. He agreed and she went to look for more ice packs. Damian and Sad Hatter exchanged glares. His bat gut told him to keep an eye on her, just in case.
Everyone gathered for a group share. Alicia reiterated they were in a judgment-free zone. Sad Hatter talked about how her father forced her into the family business. Damian noted it didn't look forced when they broke into the Wayne Enterprises storage facility last week. Alicia apologized and implored Sad Hatter to continue. She claimed she didn't know what she was getting into and he told her it would be an easy way to pay off her student debt and build her self-esteem. King Tut was moved to tears. She did think saddling someone with a name like "Sad Hatter" would help with their self-esteem. Alicia noted defying a parent is hard but ultimately everyone is responsible for their own happiness. Killer Moth declared parents stink and revealed his parents used to say he didn't look anything like a moth. He called them jerks. Copperhead invited him to try wearing a snake costume. She shared her pet snake Buttercup avenged her and ate her parents. Sad Hatter thanked everyone and there was a group hug. She was annoyed Mad Hatter was trying to call her again. Damian was incensed she was still in contact with him. She hadn't changed her phone yet and was still on the family plan. Alicia ended the group share. They now called Stella "Rad Hatter."
Damian was not fooled and called up Claire to ask her to access Bruce's computer. Claire lied she was busy working. Damian called in the IOU for telling Bruce he set his beard on fire. Claire relented. Damian asked her to start by digging up anything she could on Stella Tetch. After they were done with outreach, they returned home and enjoyed some ice cream cones. Alicia asked Sad Hatter how she was feeling after her first day. She thought it was always hard for her and she always felt judged because of her dad. Everyone agreed living in the shadow of a parent was hard. Damian remarked his dad loves shadows. Sad Hatter felt really welcome by everyone, even Damian. Copperhead told her she was always welcome at E*Vil. They declared a new dynasty of friendship. Claire called Damian and told him Mad Hatter and an unknown accomplice got into trouble two nights ago. She added police were looking for someone named "S. Tetch" as a possible suspect. She hung up and texted the details.
Damian grabbed a garden hose and lassoed Sad Hatter, reading her Miranda rights again, to everyone's dismay. She tried to hide behind Giganta but Giganta got tripped up and the others got snagged up. Giganta fell on top of E*Vil's ice cream cart and made a mess. Damian called it their just desserts and got booed. Alicia called Damian by his full name and demanded an explanation. Damian explain Sad Hatter lied and pulled off a job with Mad Hatter the other night in Central City. Sad Hatter told him the accomplice was Stanley Tech, her brother, and after she quit the family business to go back to art school, their dad must have recruited him. Alicia mused "Go To Work Day" was over and fired him. Damian returned to E*Vil to apologize to everyone for acting like a jerk. Knowing it was a hard sell, he listened to Alicia and brought an ice cream cart. Sad Hatter asked if there was cookie dough. He nodded. They ran to the cart. Hatter forgave Damian and told him they better get some ice cream before King Tut ate it all.
Bruce Wayne tried to be Mr. Handyman and fix an upstairs toilet but it did not end well. There was some flooding which led to mold and weakened the bathroom floor. Six months since his humiliating arrest at Gotham Museum, King Tut shared his experience with the group at E*Vil. He declared his bottom became rock bottom. Copperhead remembered his butt was all anyone could talk about for weeks. Killer Moth pointed out it became a meme, "King Butt." Copperhead wished she could see Batman suffer that kind of embarrassment just once. Tut went on further and wished he could kick Batman's butt. Alicia dressed up as Batman and implored them to say it to his face. They were silent. She realized they weren't buying it. Tut told everyone that because of E*Vil, their days of humiliation were behind them. Tut was hit with the toilet and bathtub from the upstairs bathroom. E*Vil temporarily moved to Wayne Manor until the brownstone was repaired. E*Vil gathered to watch the season finale of "Battle Ship Bake Off!" but the Joker spoiled the results, revealing Samantha won, and blasted a ray at them then they were all overcome with rage and trashed the brownstone.
