During Christmas, Batman was fooled into leaving Gotham City by the Joker and fought Mr. Freeze.
In the fall, Batman summoned the Batjet while searching for the coffee shop where Claire Selton and Damian Wayne went to after bedtime. Bright sat in the back seat and asked how well he knew Claire, from before. He admitted he barley knew Volcana but was there when she got turned into a child by a Lazarus Pit. Bright knew as much from Ra's al Ghul. Batman told her how he found her dying outside Gotham City Bank and with little choice, took her to a Lazarus Pit to be healed but she was in too long and was turned from a woman in her 40s to a 12 year old child. He stated he was trying his best with her. Bright suggested he needed to show her that. Batman got an idea and flew back to Wayne Manor to grab one of his painting. After Skaratata was released from his prison a second time at Wayne Manor, Batman arrived in the Batjet and fired two missiles into Skaratata's face.
Batman and Bright tracked the AntiGlow in the Batjet with Alfred's assistance from the Batcave. Bright couldn't wait to tell Damian about their secret search but agreed Batman made the right call but could have been more upfront with him. Batman asked what she was talking about. Alfred noted Damian was quite chuffed that he got entrusted with his own mission to lead. Batman was proud of him and really did trust him. Alfred asked how he would feel if he learned he were on a decoy mission while Batman went on the real mission without him. Batman stated they were closing in on the target. They eventually converged on the eagle at the Statue of Justice.
