Batman "convinced" Dr. Light to retire and confiscated Light's last invention that day, the AntiGlow. Its tremendous power could absorb all light on the planet. Batman kept it safely in an undisclosed Wayne Enterprises storage facility ever since. It was classified as sensitive equipment and was constantly being transferred to the degree that not even Batman could easily locate it. Due to a worker crash in a warehouse, the AntiGlow accidentally came back online, sending out a beacon, and Dr. Light himself picked up its frequency. Light got to it first before someone could use it to take over world but was seemingly vaporized while turning off the beacon. Eventually, word got out a powerful weapon was somewhere in Wayne Enterprises. Mad Hatter searched the Wayne Enterprises Warehouse #1 and Storage Facility #2 but failed to find the AntiGlow. Clayface tried Wayne Enterprises' warehouse but found nothing. Killer Croc tried Wayne Storage but found nothing.
Joker found the AntiGlow and discovered it could be used as hypnotic light through photo-impositional suggestion, a type of mind-control that uses lightwaves to manipulate the mind, but only if the victim is angry enough. Batman determined the server Mr. Freeze was after contained tracking information that would allow them to locate the AntiGlow. Alfred told Alicia and Bruce quietly that the updates to the tracker worked and they had the AntiGlow's precise location. Alfred added it was on the move. Bruce wanted to slip away but he saw the Bat-Signal was being projected. E*Vil gathered in their brownstone to watch the season finale of "Battle Ship Bake Off!" but Joker spoiled the results, revealing Samantha won, and blasted the AntiGlow at them then they were all overcome with rage and trashed the brownstone.
Batman felt lucky he had a Bat-Lightwave Blocker handy to free King Tut's mind. Bright didn't think it was a coincidence Tut went rogue and the moment they were closing in on the AntiGlow. Alfred speculated Tut was used as a distraction. Bright wondered who did it to them. The Bat-Computer picked up an alert. Vicki Vale reported E*vil had gone rogue. Joker used the AntiGlow to send Batman on a wild goose chase all over the city to a roof, a girl's birthday party, the Gotham Zoo, and eventually to a fake AntiGlow planted on the Statue of Justice. As Joker planned, Batman ended its activation countdown with a simple hack then took it back with him to the Batcave. Batman ran a diagnostic scan on the AntiGlow but Damian and Claire were in the Batcave, too. Bright and Alfred gestured to him to stop lying. Bruce realized Alfred told Damian and Claire about the AntiGlow. He implored Damian to be mad and yell at him. Damian didn't say word and walked away. That night, Joker found Little Batman and poked and instigated about being mad with his father. When Little Batman finally expressed his anger, Joker used the AntiGlow on him then gave him a makeover, christening him Joker Jr., his son.
Joker and Joker Jr. played "Spin that Citizen" with smiling piranhas instead of swords. The citizen was mad because he was led to believe he was going to be on a dating show. Joker used the AntiGlow on him. Batman told everyone that if Joker can make people angry enough and use it from a high enough altitude, he can mind control the whole city. Claire pointed out they didn't have enough Bat-Lightwave Blocker for everyone in the city. Jr. thought the pranking was taking too long and asked when they were getting to the grand finale. Joker told him soon and what they did so far was only an appetizer. He revealed when the whole city was mad enough, they will put everyone under their mind control by launching the AntiGlow into space with a giant Joker rocket. He placed the Anti-Glow between the teeth of the rocket's Joker face. Jr. was excited about seeing the remote and asked if he could push the button when it was time. Joker told him to be patient.
Joker promised to not only bring crime back but also turn every single one of Gotham's citizens into criminals. Joker resumed his broadcast and announced there was no last prank, just a beatdown from his goons which was intended to make the citizens angry. Batman and the family were easily defeated. Jr. liked all the buttons on the remote and asked if "GF" stood for "grand finale." He demonstrated it was for "giant fart" then pointed out the skull and crossbones was for the grand finale. He tried to push it but Joker stopped him and reminded him they had to make sure Gotham was primed and ready first. Joker surveyed the city and declared it was showtime. Batman made his way to Joker and demanded the remote. Joker warned him not to take another step or he would activate the AntiGlow. Batman told Jr. to think of Gotham. Joker teased him with touching the button. Joker mocked Batman. Batman asked Jr. not to make Gotham pay for his mistake. Jr. asked him if he did make a mistake. Batman admitted to it.
The rest of the Bat-Fam arrived. Jr. pointed out he didn't think he could handle the AntiGlow mission and he should have trusted that he could. Batman agreed. Jr. asked if he would trust him to handle it if he could go back in time. Batman stated he would. Jr. asked for the remote. Jr. proclaimed April Fools to his dad. Joker blew a raspberry at Batman. Jr. clarified he was talking to Joker. He pushed the button that caused the rocket to self-destruct. Batman fired a grapnel line and set Little Batman up with it. Little Batman threw out a Batarang that destroyed the AntiGlow.
