Man-Bat is an eccentric and disheveled former scientist turned mutant-bat-creature who lives in Wayne Manor's belfry. When he's not playing video games or foraging the fridge for leftovers, he's quick to offer his family quirky unsolicited advice like it is ancient Greek philosophy. Man-Bat is often keen to just watch like when Bruce and Alicia argued in the kitchen about what Alfred would want to do for fun and pointing out the obvious like when Alfred acts facetious. Other times, he randomly reveals his presence to others like to Bruce in the attic long after he found Damian's Deputy Bow-Wow doll and tried to tell Alicia and Claire about it or informing Bruce in the Batcave he couldn't go out with them to movie night on account of sun bathing so long under heat lamps that he was unable to see. During family karaoke night, Man-Bat stunned everyone with his beautiful opera singing.

Batman informed Damian they couldn't look into the stolen GokiFluff cards case. Damian insisted children in the city were suffering. Bright added all the adults living in their parents' basements were, too. Man-Bat revealed he loved GokiFluff and he lived in the attic. He walked over to a device. Batman told him it was a rock tumbler, not a coffee grinder. Man-Bat was, in fact, there for the rocks and told him coffee messes up your teeth. He chewed on some and left. Damian was unable to find someone to partner up with. He sat on the couch by Man-Bat morose. Man-Bat asked how he was doing. Damian told him he was okay. Man-Bat clarified he was talking to his flea buddy. Damian was surprised Man-Bat was friends with his fleas. Man-Bat called it more a love-hate relationship, joking he loved them and they hated him, especially Scott. Damian sighed. Man-Bat finally noticed he was sad. Man-Bat thought it was because Batman cared more about taxes than trying to find the scoundrel who stole all the GokiFluff cards.

Damian was surprised he heard all that. Man-Bat pointed out he didn't miss much with his ears, listened, then hinted to Damian he didn't want to know what Alfred was currently doing. There was a flush in the distance. Damian ascertained he knew about the GokiCard thief, too. Man-Bat informed it him it was all anyone was posting about on GokiFreaks. He took solace in buying Series 77 pre-launch packs before the thefts started. He realized Man-Bat was a Goki fan. Man-Bat revealed his GokiFluff shirt and glasses. Damian was floored then got an idea. He recalled Man-Bat used to be a superhero sometimes. Man-Bat mused he was more of an antihero, which were all the rage in the 90s, along with the Macarena. Damian proposed he help him catch the thief. After hearing everyone reject Damian and now being asked to be Damian's partner, Man-Bat was touched but admitted it has been a while since he saw some action. Damian promised to get him up to speed in no time. Man-Bat agreed to the partnership and high-fived Damian but fell off the couch when Scott started biting him.

Little Batman waited for Man-Bat on a roof but he was late. Claire specified he was an hour and 45 minutes late. Little Batman was surprised to see her. Claire indicated she was there for her own amusement and even brought popcorn. Man-Bat arrived in his own Bat costume, saying dynamic duos needed to coordinate. They were startled by his mask. He started workshopping a new name and asked to be called Man-Batman. Little Batman suggested sticking to Man-Bat. He pointed to a boy who lost his balloon. Man-Bat failed to grab it and flew into active power lines. He saved a window washer on the job but saw a man inside the building changing. The man punched him and he was knocked onto active power lines. The window washer fell but landed on a bush. A car was parked in a crosswalk. Man-Bat lifted the car up so he could pass but the man hit him with his cane and turned around. The car alarm put Man-Bat in a frenzied state. He pushed cars and people aside. Little Batman fired his grapnel line. Claire held him down. The line snapped and Man-Bat hit an active power line.

Man-Bat explained to them that high-pitched sounds made bats go "cuckoo bananas." They overheard a boy telling his friends that City Comics just got a shipment of Goki Cards. Little Batman was game to go on stake out. Man-Bat used his hearing and told them it was too late, City Comics was being robbed. He added the owner was screaming about it and barricading the door but the thief smashed the window and got out. Little Damian observed police taping up the area outside City Comics, an officer taking a witness statement, and children looking at Goki Cards scattered on the sidewalk. He guessed the thief was looking for something. Man-Bat suggested asking the guy with all the GokiCards on the roof across the store. Man-Bat flew him over but Toyman spotted them and ran for it. He threw out a yo-yo that entangled Man-Bat and he flew through the top of the emergency ladder. Man-Bat told Little Batman to leave him but changed his mind as he started to suffocate.

Back at Wayne Manor, Little Batman tossed a bag of frozen peas to Man-Bat for his ribs but he ate it instead. Man-Bat didn't see the big deal with Batman not wanting to be Little Batman's partner and pointed out no one else did, even Selina. Little Batman contended Selina technically didn't say no, just "Meow." Man-Bat asked what kind of meow. Little Batman imitated the meow. Man-Bat claimed he spoke cat and that was a no. He made a cat sound. Elsewhere, Selina heard it and chuckled. Man-Bat wanted to return the favor to Little Batman for being best friends with him. He vowed they would find the thief because nothing could stop him once he started something. He barfed out the peas mid-sentence and saw one kind of looked like Alfred. He showed Little Damian and imitated him, saying, "Oh, biscuits. I'm a pea!" Little Batman chuckled. Man-Bat suggested they continue honing in their fighting skills. They went to the attic, where Man-Bat lived, and played a GokiFluff fighting video game.

Damian thought his room was cool. Man-Bat revealed he tried living in the Batcave for a while, but those bats were mean. Damian finished off his character. Man-Bat was surprised and realized he lost five in a row. Damian noticed he owned one of the special edition Gubbub cards. Man-Bat took it out of the case and told Damian only five of them were made because it's coated in pure Chromalithium. He remarked it gave the taste buds quite the shock. He licked it and it literally electrocuted him. He put it back in the case and revealed he was keeping his on the down low on account of the "Gubbub curse." He logged onto the GokiForums and told Damian about the other four GokiFans who found a Gubbub card mysteriously lost theirs in a series of unfortunate and purely coincidental mishaps. A tree fell on one's car. Another's bicycle fell apart. Another's house flooded. The fourth had to get a cast on his right arm. Man-Bat thought they really should have sold their cards to NamYot_GokiFan when they had the chance. Damian asked who that was.

Man-Bat explained the user was offering a fortune for Gubbubs. Damian pieced it together that when they said no, all four lost their card in a freak accident. They realized NamYot_GokiFan was the thief. Man-Bat admitted there was little known about him. Damian believed the site moderator would know who he is. Damian and Man-Bat visited the Dent Twins at their home. The twins didn't take kindly to their request to rat out a fellow GokiFan and thus, betray their duty to the GokiFluff community. Damian told them it was a special request for his friend Batman and his new partner, Man-Bat. To Trudy's surprise, Judy agreed to help. Judy pointed out the thief was stealing every pack of cards getting shipped to Gotham. She saw the username NamYot_GokiFan was registered to an H. Okamura. Damian realized that was Hiro Okamura a.k.a. Toyman. Trudy asked him for a favor in return. Damian asked if it was to help the Caped Crusader stop Toyman. Trudy wanted him to tell his weird, sad uncle to stop licking their GokiFluff cards.

Batman linked mechanical thefts a boy in a hoodie. Little Batman was in one photo looking at him. Both Bruce and Damian were sure he was Toyman. The former was concerned he was building a deadly machine and it was time to stop him. Damian was surprised he wanted to partner up. Damian bumped into Claire and announced Batman was re-partnering up with him. Claire thought he was partners with Dr. Langstrom. Little Batman remembered but felt they didn't need to be anymore and Langstrom wasn't cut out for the superhero stuff and didn't want him to get hurt again. Man-Bat heard them and became sullen. He agreed with Scott that Damian was right but he would rather get hurt than see Damian get hurt so he would protect him because that's what partners do. By the time Little Batman got to the attic, Man-Bat was gone but he left a note, saying he needed to prove he was a great partner. The note was unfinished because he saw a raisin that looked like Alfred.

Man-Bat arrived at the designated meeting place, Kiddie Kingdom. He put on an impromptu disguise and called out, claiming he was Armando Quaz, the average GokiFluff enthusiast he arranged to make a trade with. Toyman decided he and his friends were just going to take the card. Man-Bat demanded he show himself. Lifesize robots of GokiFluff characters, Triodika, PinchuGama, and Rabonile, stepped out from the rows of merchandise. A brief fight followed, ending with them pushing a book shelf on him. He was pulled out and restrained. The card was secured by Triodika. Toyman was not impressed this is what passed for a hero in Gotham these days. Man-Bat claimed that in the 90s, he was a force to be reckoned with. Toyman replied he wouldn't know, he skipped ancient history class. Man-Bat asked why he needed all five Gubbub cards for. Toyman revealed his favorite toy came in a box that said "batteries not included." Man-Bat realized he was using the Chromalithium in the cards for batteries. Whirlwing prepared to finish off Man-Bat with a cement block but Little Batman crippled it with a batarang then demanded his partner to be released.

Toyman was not intimidated by a small child. Little Batman disabled another Goki. Man-Bat claimed to have things under control as he was being restrained and punched. He let out a high frequency scream that shorted a Goki out. Toyman inserted the five cards into something and activated it. Little Batman and Man-Bat dispatched the remaining Gokis. Little Batman apologized about not being a good partner. Man-Bat told him not to sweat it. Toyman, claiming to be the World's Greatest GokiFan, unveiled a giant Gubbub robot, the world's greatest Goki-custom with some special upgrades. It fired an eye laser at them. Little Batman and Man-Bat took cover. Man-Bat believed they needed to knock Toyman off Gubbub. Little Batman didn't think they could get past its defenses. Man-Bat believed his friends could. Toyman was attacked by fleas and fell off. Man-Bat cheered on Scott the flea. Little Batman threw a bola at him in mid-air. Gubbub reactivated and its destroy mode suddenly turned on. Toyman repeated he wanted his custom to be an exact replica of the card art. Little Batman feared it would destroy the city if it got out.

Man-Bat flew up to remove the cards from the battery chamber but he was knocked into a wall. Little Batman threw Batarangs but its shoulder cannons vaporized them. Gubbub blasted a hole in the entrance. Man-Bat suggested it was time to go "cuckoo bananas." Little Batman threw a batarang that somehow went over Gubbub's head, descended, and hit the fire alarm. Gubbub was unable to keep up with Man-Bat in his frenzied mode. Little Batman fired his grapnel at Man-Bat and swung him to the battery chamber. He licked one of the cards and caused an electric discharge. Gubbub collapsed. Little Batman cheered on Man-Bat, who gave a thumbs up. Toyman tried to hop outside but Batman grabbed him over his shoulder. Little Batman was worried at first but Batman told them they crushed it and told them to bring it in. The Dent Twins were invited to Wayne Manor for a game of GokiFluff. Man-Bat won a round with his Gubbub card. Judy was upset he had one of the cards. Trudy called it unfair. Man-Bat credited the Batmen for getting his card back.

During Vicki Vale's visit, Ra's and Man-Bat were kept in the lakeside cabin away from the manor. Ra's was upset Bruce bribed them to stay in the cabin with junk food. Man-Bat was fine with eating everything. Ra's vowed to get an interview with Vicki and the world would quake in awe. Man-Bat finished topping off his pizza with more junk food and asked Ra's for the chocolate sauce. Ra's felt insulted being called "Daddio" and levitated the bottle. He ate it whole. Ra's was disgusted.

Ra's tired of playing marbles and brought the Sphere of Skaratata to him and smashed the marbles. He wanted to prep for his interview. He asked how "Welcome to my home, Vicki Vale" sounded. Man-Bat pointed out it was Bruce's house, not his. Ra's told him to shush it. Ra's continued to practice for his interview, claiming he really ran the house. He continued to hate Man-Bat's use of "Daddio." Man-Bat was now dressed as Vicki Vale. Bruce went to the cabin and asked Ra's to get rid of E*Vil. Ra's was pleased he changed his stance on murder. Bruce clarified he wanted them alive and occupied and out of sight while Vicki was there. Ra's was promised a seven minute interview and Bruce specified not to hurt them then fired a grapnel through the front door. Ra's ambushed E*Vil around the manor and rendered them unconscious. Man-Bat dragged them back to the cabin and tied them up.

Man-Bat returned to the cabin with food but E*Vil had freed themselves. He wondered how the snake got out of the clove-hitch knot. Ra's practiced imitating Bruce's pleas but was interrupted by the sounds of E*Vil beating up Man-Bat. King Tut picked up the Sphere of Skaratata to use to bludgeon Man-Bat and boasted he could kick Batman's big bad butt. Ra's al Ghul warned those who lied while holding it would earn the wrath of the demon in it. Skaratata was freed again. Man-Bat got his name wrong, Tater-tata. Ra's told them they just had to put him back in the sphere. Tut dropped it and it shattered into pieces. Bruce called out to Ra's, outing himself to Alicia. Ra's tried to claim he was forced to do it. Bruce stressed he told Ra's to occupy them, not kidnap. He admitted it was a bad call but he just wanted it to be perfect. Man-Bat told Batman what the lie was. Man-Bat saved Sad Hatter during the skirmish. Skaratata was recaptured with a back up sphere Batman had. Everyone gathered to watch Vicki's interview on the news. It was a montage. Ra's was irritated it was completely out of context and couldn't believe Vicki said "Daddio," too.

The morning after he found out about the AntiGlow, Damian was absent from breakfast. Bruce went to check on him but found Man-Bat sleeping in his bed. Man-Bat was amazed with how comfortable a bed was. Ra's phased through the floor told him, Damian's anger drove him out into the night. Bruce couldn't believe he let him go. Ra's thought he would be fine since he was an al Ghul and was better there than in the manor. Bruce was already gone. Man-Bat asked for someone to turn off the light and went back to sleep then realized Damian was missing. Batman told everyone that if Joker can make people angry enough and use AntiGlow from a high enough altitude, he can mind control the whole city. A movie theater room was inundated with cheese after all patrons were trapped in their seats. Man-Bat and Ra's al Ghul charged Joker and Joker Jr. but they were just an illusion and cardboard standee. Everyone met back at the Batcave in defeat. Batman told them he couldn't let anymore more of them get hurt and sealed them out of the Batcave.

Alfred realized Batman initiated lockdown protocol, making the Batcave inaccessible to anyone. Alfred deduced Batman was just protecting his family and told the others the Batcave was nearly impenetrable. He checked the blueprints and remembered if they could access utility tunnel 9A, they could get into the Batcave. Claire was surprised Bruce didn't know about it. Alfred boasted Bruce wasn't the only one who was good at keeping secrets. Man-Bat agreed and recalled Alfred never told anybody he accidentally knocked Ra's toothbrush into the toilet. Ra's kicked himself and knew it tasted funny. The family climbed down the cliff side to a drainage tunnel. Alfred unlocked the gate. Man-Bat grabbed a mace stuck in the ground and triggered a giant mace ball. It swung and hit Ra's. Alicia almost tripped a laser and stepped over it right onto a pressure plate. The ground under them disintegrated and they fell into chest-deep water. Alfred pointed to a ventilation shaft. Claire grabbed a pipe and wedged it against the fan then stepped through.

They followed. They exited into the elevator shaft and entered the Batcave. Alfred saw the trace was finished. Everyone suited up, including Man-Bat in his Man-BatMan suit. They headed to an old TV studio where Joker was. Man-BatMan went on the fritz after Joker blew a whistle and he flew right into a cage. Joker credited Jr. with knowing everyone's weaknesses. Joker promised to not only bring crime back but also turn every single one of Gotham's citizens into criminals. Batman got free and untied Bright and Volcana but Joker triggered the trap door under them. They landed in a giant prank gauntlet surrounded by an acid moat. Joker then declared it was time for the elimination round with all of Gotham's favorite villains: Solomon Grundy, Livewire, Mad Hatter, and Killer Croc. Croc pushed Man-Bat's cage to the acid. Man-Bat managed to fly to safety. Only the bottom of his cage was melted away. Joker launched the Joker rocket with the AntiGlow. Batman told Jr. to think of Gotham. Joker teased him with touching the button.

Joker mocked Batman. Batman asked Jr. not to make Gotham pay for his mistake. Jr. asked him if he did make a mistake. Batman admitted to it. The rest of the Bat-Fam arrived. Jr. pointed out he didn't think he could handle the AntiGlow mission and he should have trusted that he could. Batman agreed. Jr. asked if he would trust him to handle it if he could go back in time. Batman stated he would. Jr. asked for the remote. Jr. proclaimed April Fools to his dad. Joker blew a raspberry at Batman. Jr. clarified he was talking to Joker. He pushed the button that caused the rocket to self-destruct. Batman fired a grapnel line and set Little Batman up with it. Little Batman threw out a Batarang that destroyed the AntiGlow. Bright realized Little Batman was never hypnotized. Little Batman confirmed he play along to get Joker to trust him and admitted he was only disappointed but not actually mad, so the brainwashing didn't work. Alfred called for an April Fool's celebration but they saw the Bat-Signal was activated and took off to respond to it. They cleaned up the Statue of Justice.
