Brainiac 5 devised a solar transducer was the only device capable of destroying the active Sun Eater. It would effectively destroy the core. The transducer required a list of rare items including Quantum Particles, Dalamite Crystals, Quantum Ore, Anti-matter, and a Stablizer Core. In the rush to finalize the device, the Legion overlooked a faulty primary conductor coil until the transducer failed to activate. Ferro Lad made the ultimate sacrifice and acted as the conductor to detonate the transducer and destroyed the Sun Eater.
