Clark Kent and Krypto went to Metropolis Shoreside for a relaxing day at the beach. Krypto saw a hot dog stand and got money from Kent. However, his dog was stolen by a seagull. Krypto flew after it. It tried to hide in some clouds but Krypto blew it away then nailed the bird with heat vision. It feel headfirst into the sand. Krypto pulled the bird out of the sand but a crab took off with the dog. Krypto burrowed after it but it let the ocean in and they were inundated. They burst up through a boy's sand castle. A sea turtle took off with the dog. Krypto facepalmed and went after the turtle underwater. Krypto faced several turtles but used X-ray vision to pinpoint which one had the dog. Krypto chased it in a circle, creating a vortex. A girl with a snorkle, a boy in an inner tube, and Supergirl on a stand up paddleboard got sucked in. The turtle swam away.
Krypto tried to follow but was electrocuted by several jellyfish. He saw the dog on the surface and pulled at it but it was lodged in the blow hole of a whale. It breached and body slammed Krypto in to the ocean. Krypto retaliated and lifted the whale high up into the sky and dropped it. The impact caused a tidal wave and carried a cruise ship towards the beach, threatening to harm everyone there. Unable to use his strength, Krypto froze the wave but it kept moving towards the beach. He melted the ice with heat vision then used his tail as a rudder to stop the ship at the last second. Everyone on the beach cheered, even the three animals who stole the dog. Krypto returned to his spot next to Kent who woke up from his nap. A bottle washed up ashore with the dog in it. Krypto used his super breath to pull the bottle to him but his nose got stuck in it and he could not get the bottle off.
