Lex Luthor built a robot dog he called A.R.F. (or Autonomous Robot Fido) and taught it anyone with a S shield was a threat that needed to be eliminated. He scolded A.R.F. for taking a ball off his desk during the presentation. He was distracted with a fire caused by his Monkey Bots in another room. Once the fire was out, he saw A.R.F. down in the park playing with Krypto.
