Lex Luthor built a robot dog he called A.R.F. (or Autonomous Robot Fido) and taught it anyone with a S shield was a threat that needed to be eliminated. He scolded A.R.F. for taking a ball off his desk during the presentation. He was distracted with a fire caused by his Monkey Bots in another room. Once the fire was out, he saw A.R.F. down in the park playing with Krypto. He floated down using the rocket propulsion feature in his dress shoes then popped Krypto's ball. Krypto burnt his butt with heat vision, froze him, dug dirt on him, and chased him around. A.R.F. was conflicted but decided Luthor was a threat, not a friend. Together, they mashed him into the shape of a ball. He was tossed up into the air by A.R.F. then kicked by Krypto through a Sleep Labs billboard into an elderly woman's apartment. The woman was annoyed, as Lobo previously crashed into her apartment, and slapped Luthor's head.
