As part of a Santa Priscan government plot to create an army of supersoldiers, a new drug was created. It was named Venom and in liquified form, was tested on several prisoners but failed to yield results. The drug finally worked on a man named Bane and endowed him with enhanced strength. Bane used his power to kill everyone and escape. The more Venom is administered, the larger in size and strength the user becomes. However, cutting off the user from their Venom will immediately render them back to normal.
