The Lasso of Truth forged by the god, Hephaestus from the Golden Girdle of Gaea and given to Queen Hippolyta, of the Amazons, by the goddess Hestia after she empowered it with fire. The lasso was designed to bypass the untrustworthy nature of man. Any man who comes in contact with it is compelled to tell the truth. However, the lasso is ineffectual against higher beings or if the person simply doesn't know the answer to the query. Wonder Woman uses the Lasso of Truth was her main choice of offense, defense, and interrogation.
