The Arc de Triumphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, France. It honors those who died in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars and was commissioned in 1806 by Emperor Napoleon. The names of all French victories and generals are inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. The Arc is 164 feet in height, 148 feet in width and 72 feet deep.
