The Derringer is a 19th century pocket pistol made by Henry Deringer. The name became a generic term for all pocket pistols and common weapon of women since it was the smallest and most concealable weapon to use for self-defense. However, an exception to this fact was a killer named Madame Lorraine who used a double capacity version to murder clients and steal from them.
