Based on Earth, the Galactic Protectorate is an interstellar space program dedicated to exploration and knowledge. As a precaution against the more aggressive planets in the universe, a military fleet is also active. The Protectorate appears to be an alliance of planets that follow a liberal democracy and mandate of liberty, equality, justice, peace, and cooperation.
The local Big Shot Dry Cleaners has some famous clients such as Duck Dodgers and Hal Jordan. However, after a simple mixup, Dodgers had Jordan's costume and power ring. He took the ring around the Protectorate and ignited an angry mob before he was recalled to Oa.
