The 300 year old warrior Boodikka, of the planet Bellatrix, once belonged to the "Bellatrix Bombers," a group of female mercenaries who specialized in wiping out hostile forces threatening planets. Boodikka was a master of armed combat such as short-swords, handguns, and explosives. The "Bellatrix Bombers" were disbanded after most of them were killed in action.
She was recruited by Chaselon of Barrio III to join the Green Lantern Corps. Boodikka accepted and became the Green Lantern of Space Sector 1414. Her aggressive attitude put off Hal Jordan but others saw her as a challenge such as Kilowog, one of Jordan's trainers. Boodikka quickly became a skilled with her power ring but her issue with respecting authority continued to grow, as well. She was often at odds with Kreon of Tebis, another new recruit to the Green Lantern Corps. As the former Chieftain of the Teban battle fleet, Kreon was accustomed to discipline and military strategy. Kreon criticizes her for being an undisciplined fighter. Nonetheless, Boodikka eventually became a recruiter for the Corps.
