The Weaponers built the Yellow Battery to house the powerful Yellow Element. Unlike the Green Battery, the Yellow Battery has no fixed location and is controlled by pyschokinetic commands of whoever wears the Yellow Power Ring. It is also more lethal as it can fire pure, concentrated blasts of yellow energy. Sinestro briefly rendered the Green Element inert with a direct, concentrated blast from the Yellow Battery and killed several Green Lanterns with it. Hal Jordan used two celestial bodies to destroy the Battery and Element in it.
