Detective Ramirez was born and raised in Gotham City. She later joined the Gotham City Police Department and garnered a reputation of being one of few honest cops. Ramirez was chosen by Lieutenant Gordon to join his elite squad, the Major Crimes Unit. She was supportive of Batman who was changing Gotham for the better. Her partner, Detective Allen thought otherwise until Batman saved both their lives in a gunfight. Among the two, Ramirez is often the driver whether it's a police squad car or helicopter.
