Dander is Gotham youth and often hangs around with three other friends who also skateboard. Like most of the young people in Gotham, Dander joined in on the speculation on the urban myth surrounding Batman. While his other friends saw Batman in action, Dander hadn't. After hearing their stories, Batman and a thief named Jacob Feely burst into their indoor rink. Feely flooded the room with smoke and proceeded to kill Batman. However, Dander knocked Feely out from behind with his skateboard. Batman thanked Dander and left with Feely in tow.
