Ryan Choi was an assistant to Dr. Ray Palmer. He helped round up Palmer's three miniaturized horses and placed them in kennels on Palmer's truck. Choi regretted he couldn't go with Palmer to present his molecular miniaturization project to a Senate committee but was confident Palmer wouldn't have to say much. Palmer thanked Choi and drove away. Suddenly, a Boom Tube appeared and Will Magnus' Wonderdroid sliced at Choi. As Choi looked up, he saw cars flipped over and watched as the droid jumped off the cliff to intercept Palmer.
