Boom Tubes are wormholes used by the New Gods for instant teleportation no matter the distance between point of departure and arrival. They are triggered by a living computer called Mother Box and make a trademark noise that signals their generation. After leaving the tragedy on Apokolips through a Boom Tube, Bekka traveled to a dozen seemingly random planets and ended up in India on Earth in July 1962. Decades later, during the battle against Imperiex, Mother Box was crushed but she managed to boom him, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman to Pripyat so no more innocents would be at risk. Some time later, Wonder Woman utilized a Boom Tube to find Steve Trevor in a Kobra compound then in battle against their weapon Giganta. Seemingly crushed to a pulp, Wonder Woman escaped through a tube and reappeared behind Giganta's head. After slicing an opening and ripping some wires out, Giganta collapsed. Wonder Woman emerged from a Boom Tube on the ground near Trevor.

Eventually, the U.S. government succeeded in duplicating the Mother Box technology and generating Boom Tubes. Likewise, they figured out how to jam one and prevent the generation of Boom Tubes should the need suffice. Will Magnus built a Mother Box into each of three droids he designed to frame Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman for murder and draw out a conflict with the government. Magnus would use the distraction to hook his nanite bomb to Superman's ship in the Tower of Justice. When fully active, seven billion microscopic Boom Tubes would appear around the world and plant a nanite into someone's head. The human race would be united. The Batdroid boomed to an area near the Arctic Circle and killed Dr. Victor Fries. Soon after, Wonderdroid boomed to Dr. Ray Palmer's lab and pursued his truck on foot. Three days later, the Superdroid boomed to Dr. Silas Stone's lab and blew it up, killing Stone and his son instantly. Two nights later, all three boomed to Dr. Karen Beecher's country mansion and killed the remaining targeted scientists. Shrugging off a resistance from Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, they boomed before the fighting continued.

Soon after the massacre, the Superdroid boomed to Dr. Luthor's ship and blew it up. Luckily, Luthor also had the Mother Box technology and boomed away just in time. As Magnus forsaw, the government made their move against the Justice League and activated Project Fair Play. Wonder Woman's Mother Box was jammed and she was unable to boom. Dr. Luthor was also unable to boom past the Tower of Justice's Kryptonian force field and stop Magnus. He boomed between Stever Trevor, Superman, and Wonder Woman and quickly explained what was really going on. Once Batman took the field down from the inside, Superman battled the three droids. Merged as one droid, their constant booming was a boon against Superman. Eventually, Superman was able to use his heat vision and burned out the Mother Boxes. Unable to boom, the droid was soon destroyed. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman battled Magnus' other creation Platinum. After jamming her sword into Platinum, then being stabbed herself, Wonder Woman grabbed the pommel and boomed Platinum into the Sun. A week later, Wonder Woman and Dr. Luthor boomed to her home universe to settle the problems of her past.
