Serifan is one of the wealthy who were the first to become one of Jackson Alpert's Forever People. After being upgraded, he took the name Serifan. The ability he manifested appeared to be a form of gravitational manipulation that can literally freeze people in place. During anti-Forever People movements across the globe, Serifan joined Dreamer and Moonrider in helping Alpert end the violence peacefully. In Rio de Janeiro, Serfian paralyzed hundreds of people while Dreamer placed them in a state of hypnotic calm. The Forever People moved on to Moscow next. Some days later, Serifan was among the team chosen to greet Superman as he made his way past the Eternity Institute's force field then dined with his bretheren, Alpert, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
During the battle on Bear's citadel, Serifan remarked Superman was as impressive the same way the ruin of an ancient city was. He declared the Forever People were the future and the future always won. He paralyzed Superman and Wonder Woman and stated they would stay that way until the Forever People decided what their ultimate fate was. As Serifan turned away, Superman was still able to use his heat vision and shot Serifan through the head - instantly killing him. Bear erupted into a rage and attacked Superman.
