Penelo is a world covered in water, is located in Space Sector 1355, and is home to a race of aquatic creatures. Penelops is one such native, resembling a giant eyeball with tentacles. The Green Lantern arrived and began to investigate why the sun's heat began to rise, endangering Penelo. The Lantern discovered an alien ship was artificially raising the sun's heat with an energy beam. The ships began fighting the Green Lantern. The aliens revealed they were searching for a new homeworld and chose the second planet to the yellow sun but needed to warm the sun to survive. The Lantern decided to move Penelo from its original orbit from the sun and saved both races.
