Blu was one of many warriors selected by the Guardians of the Universe to gather on Oa. She was the third to receive a Green Power Ring. The four chosen ones were quickly trained and assigned to stop a massive armada. Blu was killed in combat when an enemy fighter ship crashed into her. She became the first to die in battle and lose a ring.
