Karu-Sil was orphaned at young age when her family was slaughtered in a raid on Graxos III. She was adopted and raised by beasts in a jungle. In time, Karu-Sil altered her physical appearance to look like them such as sharpening her teeth into fangs. She was found by the Green Lantern Blish and institutionalized on Graxos IV. Karu-Sil was later recruited to the Sinestro Corps and assigned Space Sector 2815. At times, she encircles herself with constructs that resemble the beasts that raised her.
