The Laff Factory was the hideout of the Joker and his Joker Gang. Penguin's snoring, Solomon Grundy's stinky feet, the pies lining the floors and Joker's creepy clown bedsheets made it an appalling place for someone like Lex Luthor. When Luthor teleported to the Laff Factory, he quickly grew to hate the factory and convinced Joker to consider a more suitable base of operations, his Hall of Doom. Once Joker accepted, Luthor advised him to blow the Laff Factory sky high. Joker decided to trap Batman in it first then blow it up. After teleporting a jack-in-the-box into the Gotham Treasury, Joker teleported the Treasury to the Moon and placed the Laff Factory in its place. Robin was initially trapped inside and captured. Batman made his way through the Hall of Self-Reflection and found Robin affixed to the Wheel of Misfortune above a vat of Joker Juice. Batman was unable to nab Joker but rescued Robin. As they ran out the factory, Joker opened fire on it with his Joker Tank. When the smoke cleared, the Laff Factory and Joker were gone.
