Gotham City is protected by Batman and Robin from the combined forces of their greatest enemies - Joker, Penguin, Bane, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Two-Face, Solomon Grundy, Catwoman and Mr. Freeze. Batman and Robin foiled their robberies and captured villains. With the Joker's gang and funds dwindling, Joker tried to sell a hunk of Kryptonite to Lex Luthor. Luthor moved his operations to Gotham City. Joker used Luthor's teleportation technology, the Lexporter, to rob the Gotham Bank and Gotham Art Museum without leaving a trace. Joker decided to trap Batman in his old hideout, the Laff Factory, and blow it up. Batman and Robin escaped and soon encountered Superman, who proposed an alliance. Batman believed he and Robin could handle the crimes going on but missing landmarks from all over the world began appearing throughout the city. Superman called in the rest of the Super Friends to locate the landmarks. They each encountered members of Luthor's Legion of Doom but were teleported against their will to containment chambers at the Hall of Doom.
Cyborg went to Gotham City and got Robin's attention with the Batsignal. They settled on a sneak attack and made their way to Slaughter Swamp in the Batbot and Cyborg Mech. During the skirmish, the Super Friends were freed. The majority of the Legion were captured and placed in a Green Lantern prison cell. Luthor stepped in with a giant mechanical suit but Batman took control of the Batbot and challenged him. With Batman defeated, the Super Friends stepped in and took Luthor out. The Joker wasn't finished just yet. Luthor and Joker fired Lexporter beams at each other and became merged into one. The Super Friends took the villains to jail and began returning the missing landmarks.
