Superman has super-strength! He has powerful vision and hearing and is virtually indestructible. He can fly at incredible speeds - both on Earth and in space! As leader of the Super Friends, Superman hoped to one day induct Batman. Luthor's technology caught Superman's eye and he flew to Gotham City to propose an alliance to Batman. When Cyborg revealed the Gotham Treasury was detected on the Moon, Superman set off to investigate. He found a giant lead-lined jack-in-the-box and could only wait for it to pop. To his dismany, Superman's clone Bizarro was released. The two battled on the Moon. Just as Superman fell, Bizarro was dismayed to see a round Earth instead of a square one. Superman tried to trick Bizarro into thinking Lex Luthor and Joker rounded off the corners to turn the planet into a big bowling ball. Bizarro refused to switch sides so Superman launched him into an asteroid shower. Superman returned to Gotham and helped safely land the Eiffel Tower. As he and Wonder Woman questioned Cheetah, the two heroes were teleported away.
Superman and Wonder Woman found themselves into containment tubes at the Hall of Doom. Superman discovered Kryptonite was at the base of his prison and he was too weak to attempt escape. In the confrontation with the Legion of Doom, Superman quickly wrapped Bizarro up in Poison Ivy's vines. He was powerless against Lex Luthor's mechanical suit, which housed Kryptonite. Batman then the Super Friends battled Luthor in Superman's place. In the aftermath, Batman agreed to join the Super Friends. Superman and Batman commemorated the moment with a high five. Superman worked with Wonder Woman and Hawkman on lifting the Statue of Liberty from Slaughter Swamp.
