Batman, the Dark Knight, the World's Greatest Detective - he uses brains, brawn and skill to tackle every opponent that comes his way. He often teams up with his crime-fighting partner Robin or other heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman and Flash. No matter the challenge, Batman fights for justice. Superman tried to get Batman to join the Super Friends but he insisted on "flying solo" and declined to join the team. Nevertheless, Batman took on a partner and trained him. On Robin's first night, Batman implored him to remember his training. They botched a robbery at the Gotham First National Bank. They only captured Riddler and Two-Face but Joker got away with the Penguin. They returned to the Batcave. In due time, the Joker struck again. First, they found the money in the Gotham Bank was replaced with Joker Cards, then the Gotham Art Museum's collections were painted over with Joker and Lex Luthor faces. Batman was left to wonder how the Joker was doing it all without leaving signs of forced entry or appearing on security cameras.

Presented with the Hall of Doom and a new team, the Joker decided to blow up his old hideout, the Laff Factory, with Batman inside it. He lured Batman and Robin to the Gotham Treasury then replaced with the Laff Factory. Batman journeyed inside, past the Hall of Self-Reflection, and found Joker had placed Robin on his Wheel of Misfortune. Faced with saving himself or saving Robin, Batman caught Robin before he fell into a vat of Joker Juice. They ran outside ust in time to see the Joker Tank open fire on the factory. When the smoke cleared, the factory was gone, too. Batman activated his gauntlet computer and activated it's forensics mode. The presence of quantum neutrinos and tachyon particles pointed to teleportation. As Batman and Robin gathered themselves, they were visited by Superman. Batman claimed he and Robin could handle the situation by themselves but Superman pointed out it was obvious Joker and Luthor teamed up so they should, too. Batman insisted he had Gotham covered but Robin pointed out the presence of the Eiffel Tower.

To Batman's annoyance, Cyborg contacted him on his line and learned Superman gave away his number in case of emergency. Cyborg informed Batman the Gotham Treasury was presently on the Moon. Batman admitted that was out of his jurisdiction and Superman left to investigate. While the Super Friends searched Gotham City for the stolen landmarks, Batman and Robin waited but he sensed Joker was leading everyone on a wild goose chase. Concerned with the disappearance of Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern, Batman had Cyborg transmit him Hawkman and Aquaman's coordinates. Batman realized too late that Superman wasn't wrong, the world's heroes were stronger as a united front. He ordered Robin to watch the Batcave while he left for Slaughter Swamp in the Batboat. He grandstanded Hawkman and crippled the Penguin Copter with several missiles. Hawkman and Aquaman boarded the Batboat to thank their new ally. Aquaman managed to get some swamp muck on Batman's cape. The Hall of Doom arose and the trio was blasted by the Lexporter 2.0.

Batman and the Super Friends were saved by Cyborg and Robin. In the battle between the Super Friends and Legion of Doom, Batman swung into and took out Bane. He then took control of the Batbot and challenged Lex Luthor in his giant mechanical suit. The Batbot was defeated and knocked on its back. Wonder Woman realized Batman would never ask for help and led the others against Luthor. Once Luthor and Joker were rounded up, Batman agreed to join the Super Friends and high fived Superman. He did not extend the invitation to Robin and asked him to watch the Batcave whenever he was outside of Gotham.
