Bizarro is Lex Luthor's attempt at creating a clone of Superman. Due to a lab accident, the cloning process was botched. Bizarro had a simple intellect but fiercely loyal to Luthor. Luthor decided to keep him around as security for the Hall of Doom. All of Bizarro's impulses are the complete opposite of Superman. He would rescue criminals from good guys and be mean to puppies and children. Instead of the Sun, he draws his strength from the Moon. Superman has heat vision and ice breath but Bizarro has ice vision and heat breath. As part of Joker's new game, Bizarro was hidden in a giant jack-in-the-box and teleported into the Gotham Treasury. After the building was teleported to the Moon, Superman investigated. Bizarro popped out and attacked Superman. Eventually, Bizarro got the upperhand but he was petrified at the sight of a round planet Earth. At first, Superman tried to explain Earth was never square but tried to trick him into switching sides by saying Joker and Luthor teamed up to round off the planet and bowl it into a black hole.
Bizarro refused to accept Superman's story or offer. Superman launched Bizarro into an asteroid field and returned to Earth. Bizarro eventually got free and returned to the Hall of Doom with a broken shoulder. At the height of the Legion's victory, Robin and Cyborg stormed the Hall of Doom. Bane and Bizarro rushed the Batbot but were clobbered when Robin mashed some random buttons. Superman later used Poison Ivy's clipped vines to wrap up Bizarro. He was later placed in Green Lantern's prison cell construct.
