According to nuclear physics, there exists the Multiverse, an infinite number of parallel dimensions and all of them have a planet Earth in the same location in space but they exist at different vibrational resonances. In some cases, a select number of people possess a sub-conscious link to one parallel dimension stored as a collective psychic memory. In theory, one would need mastery of the Anti-Life Equation, the Speed Force, and Quantum Mechanics for transdimensional travel. A Lex Luthor eventually solved a decoherence problem and perfected a Transit Device that would allow travel throughout the Multiverse.
From Owlman's perspective, mankind created the Multiverse. With each choice they made, another world is created where the opposite choice is made. The secret of the universe is billions of people make billions of choices and create infinite earths and an illusion of free will, making every life meaningless. Some earths can be so similar you'd have to spend a lifetime waiting for a difference or some so radically different. Every Earth is born from and depends on Earth Prime, the first Earth. Destroy it and all of reality is destroyed. When and how are unknown, but this Earth was hurtled out of orbit and is now a veritable wasteland. Batman saved the Multiverse when he teleported Owlman and his planet-shattering Quantum Eigenstate Device from Prime to another Earth. Owlman then realized his choice to detonate a device on Earth Prime spawned at least a second Multiverse and Earth Prime.
