Transit Device

Back to Objects Main > Transit Device

Real Identity: Not Applicable
Powers/Skills: Multi-Dimensional Teleportation
Voiced By: Not Applicable

Alexander Luthor conducted research and solved theoritical equations to prove the existence of parallel Earths. He then went to work on creating technology that would allow travel between them. The Transit Device was created. It looks more like a gun and scans the Multiverse. At least 12 Earths can be stored in the device's memory at a time and has no side effects except for momentary disorientation for some. Although specific details are unknown, the Transit Device locks onto one Earth's specific vibrations, generates a carrier wave, and opens a portal. Without the device to protect its user, they would be instantly torn apart by the portal's event horizon.

Owlman discovered Luthor's notes and had one of his Made Men download the information into his personal computer. In his Eyrie of Evil, Owlman created a second Transit Device, with his own modifications such as the capacity to track quantum energy and lock out other transit devices. After locating the Quantum Trigger in a parallel Earth's Watchtower, Owlman relinquished the Transit Device to Superwoman and ordered her to find it. Batman summoned new allies to fight Superwoman's Made Men. In the aftermath, he jumped into Superwoman and Captain Super as they used it to return home. In the final battle, Owlman used one to teleport himself and the Quantum Eigenstate Device to Earth Prime to destroy all reality. Batman battled him and used one of the devices to teleport him and the QED to an uninhabited frozen Earth. He returned to Crime Syndicate's base and the Justice League returned home.
