Black Power grew up in an impoverished community. Outraged by poverty, crime, and corruption, he began to take matters into his own hands and acted through brutal force. Owlman recruited him and empowered him with a variety of electrical powers. Black Power became his top lieutenant. On a mission to find the Quantum Trigger, Owlman stumbled upon Alexander Luthor's notes on the Multiverse. He ordered Black Power to download the files to his personal computer. Soon after Luthor and the Justice League arrived. Black Power fought the Martian Manhunter. He used his power to lift two machines to smash Manhunter but the Martian phased through the ground and reappeared behind Black Power. With one hit, Manhunter knocked Black Power out.
