Dr. Victor Frankenstein created life with a corpse created from multiple cadavers. He named him Eric and thought him as his son. In 1831, Dr. Frankenstein acquired several corpses from a mortician for the creation of a wife for Eric Frankenstein. He expressed his doubts but his son yearned for a wife and love. Frankenstein admitted he created Eric in the interest of exploring that infinitesimal space that falls between life and death but admitted he had not yet learned enough from him to justify doing it again. Eric thought it unfair his father had a wife but he did not and suggested a fair remedy was to kill her. Frankenstein disagreed anyone would say that brought balance to life. Eric threw a tantrum. Frankenstein clarified they were proceeding and he was just sharing his thoughts like what humans did but without becoming over-animated. Eric looked at a head and was brought to tears. He declared it was the face of his true love.
Some time later, the Bride was completed and Frankenstein gave it life with a jolt of electricity. She coughed up blood. Eric was eager to give her a bouquet of flowers he picked himself. Frankenstein cautioned him to wait so she could gather her senses. He explained a normal human was in their mother's womb for nine months but the Bride came from nothing to something in an instant with no tether nor any idea who she was or who they were. He likened her to a cluster of fear and not knowing. He stroked her cheek and told her everything was fine. She turned to see Eric and screamed. Frankenstein taught her words by holding the object in front her like an apple and a hat. Eric didn't see the point. Frankenstein asked him if he wanted a bride who would speak. Eric believed words got in the way of truth, drowning out the caterwaul of one's heart. Frankenstein presented a tourmaline necklace. Bride thought it was pretty but didn't know what it was. Frankenstein told her it was a necklace.
Eric was frustrated the Bride wouldn't let him touch her. Frankenstein pointed out he was frightening her. Eric pinned her to a wall and told her he loved her. She kept yelling "No!" Frankenstein tried to console Eric but Eric lifted him off the floor and choked him then threw him into the face of the bed frame. Eric cried and ran out of the bedroom. Bride poked Frankenstein's cheek. He claimed he was fine. In another session, Frankenstein presented a toy. She told him it was a wooden horse. He asked what it was. She replied it was a toy for children. He put on a fake mustache and they shared a laugh. He presented a gift for her. She shook the box and thanked him. He clarified the gift was in the box and she had to tear the wrapping paper off. He demonstrated then opened the box. Inside was the tourmaline necklace. He revealed he took it off one of the cadavers used to make her. He put it on her. She thought it was beautiful and smiled. They began having sex and were unaware Eric walked in on them.
Eric concluded Frankenstein was an obstacle to their love and killed him. Bride brought lemonade and was horrified then attacked him. A fallen candle started a fire. In the struggle, Bride lost her necklace then she kicked him into the fire. She took one last look at Dr. Frankenstein and fled the grounds. On fire, Frankenstein staggered out of the manor and collapsed into a river. The currents took him downstream. A dog named Ivan came upon his body washed ashore. Ivan's owner Bogdana felt his face and Ivan dragged Frankenstein back to their cottage. While she applied an ointment to his wounds, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and asked what it was. Ivan woke up and growled fiercely. Bogdana told him it was okay and he went back to sleep. She explained they were ointments that had ancient healing properties sacred to her family. He summarized it as "gypsy shit." She was amused. He let go and she continued. Frankenstein's mobility began to improve. He thought her lack of eye contact when she spoke to be disrepectful. She revealed she was blind.
Frankenstein mused the world held nothing of worth besides beauty and if he were blind, he would kill himself. He stated the beauty of the Bride is what kept him going. She told him to close his eyes. He asked why. She asked if she earned his trust. He closed his eye. She asked if he did. He confirmed. She told him to imagine he was the Bride, told him that is beauty, and that was most of her everyday. She believed she saw more beauty than he could imagine. Frankenstein made a full recovery. One day he returned with a turkey even she could smell. He ordered her to clean it. She called him bossy. He sat under a tree and admired his skill with the shotgun. He barely had to think it and it was done. Bogdana believed her father would be happy to see his shotgun put to use. Frankenstein added Ivan helped. She asked how. He revealed Ivan remained quiet. Frankenstein thanked her for nursing him back to health, and allowing him a place to recuperate. Bogdana told him to was his home and admitted she, and especially Ivan, have been the happiest they have ever been in his company even though he was a grouch. Frankenstein joked he still had the shotgun. She laughed and he smiled.
One night, Frankenstein locked Ivan out of the cottage and packed. Bogdana pleaded with him to reconsider. He believed he stayed longer than he intended. She wept. He wanted to find the Bride because their sole purpose was to be together. Bogdana pointed out she tried to kill him and she didn't love him. Frankenstein downplayed it as her being flirtatious and coy as part of a complex mating ritual that Bogdana didn't understand. She asked him why he couldn't face the truth the Bride didn't love him then asked why he locked Ivan out. Frankenstein was uncertain he would understand. Bogdana asked what he meant. Frankenstein blew out the candle overhead. Bogdana asked him not to leave and admitted she didn't want to be alone. Frankenstein looked at the tea kettle the picked up the iron pot and told her he would never let her be alone. He bashed her head in with the pot. In the morning, Frankenstein departed for good. He whistled and Ivan followed after him.
In 1852, Eric Frankenstein found the Bride of Frankenstein working at a booth selling various meats in Paris. He pushed the next customer out of line and offered a daisy to Bride. Bride took the fish she had and hit him then punched him into a stall. A fight broke out between them. At some point, the Bride of Frankenstein and Eric Frankenstein fought in a mansion while in European period formal wear and in Japan. In 1880, the Bride shot him in a bar and fled into the Wild West. In 1895, Eric Frankenstein happily chased after the Bride of Frankenstein on horseback in the Sahara Desert. She was annoyed and suddenly stopped her horse. His horse was startled and threw him off. In 1912, they fought underwater in scuba suits. She stabbed him in the head with a knife. In 1923, she drop kicked him in front of flappers before their performance started. In 1941, they shot at each other in the middle of a military battle during World War II then charged each other.
In 1964, the Bride of Frankenstein and Eric Frankenstein fought atop a moving bus in London. He hung off the edge. Bride stomped his hands but the bus overturned and both of them went flying. At some point after, they fought amid a group of hippies and on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. In 1991, the Bride of Frankenstein bashed Eric Frankenstein with her guitar during a live performance of Gogol Bordello at the Reptile Room. She jumped off the stage to continue fighting him while the band played on. In 2022, Eric Frankenstein got a call when he was aboard a yacht amid a party. The old woman he asked to watch Frankenstein Manor reported the Bride had arrived. He was overjoyed he found his bride after so many years.
Eric Frankenstein paid off a lieutenant and pilot to help him spy on the Bride from a helicopter near Belle Reve Correctional Center. He believed she was looking at Rick Flag Sr. lovingly and asked who he was. The lieutenant recalled they fought together in Jarhanpur many moons ago and called in "General Boy Scout." Frankenstein fixated on the way she "looked" at Flag and believed it had to do with the beard. The lieutenant was eager to leave before they were spotted but Frankenstein thought he was judging him for not being able to grow facial hair and that in turn made him some sort of a baby-man. The lieutenant had no idea what he was talking about. He grabbed him by the throat and lifted him off the floor. The pilot objected but Frankenstein told him to mind his own business. Frankenstein snapped the pilot's neck with his thumb after they crashed, took his pen, and wrote "Rick Flag" on his left palm. Frankenstein tailed Flag back to his home but crashed into a tree. He got out and tackled Flag through his front door ranting she would never love him. He threw Flag into a case.
Flag shot at him in vain then got grabbed. He kicked Frankenstein in the crotch but realized he was out of bullets. Frankenstein slammed him around and threw him into the kitchen. Flag jumped on his back and aimed his gun at one of Frankenstein's eyes, reckoning it wasn't as bulletproof as the rest of him. He stomped the floor angrily. Flag remarked he should be the one screaming for being attacked for no reason. He thought he was talking about Princess Ilana but realized he meant the Bride. He quickly denied there was anything between them but Frankenstein was skeptical, noting Flag as a DILF. Flag convinced him to stop attacking him so they could talk. He offered coffee or something to drink. Frankenstein ordered tea. Frankenstein was moved by Flag's story about Princess Ilana and knew it was love. He agreed Flag couldn't stand by and let her be murdered by the Creature Commandos then likened them to Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in "Titanic". He asked Flag if he saw the movie. Flag admitted he did.
Frankenstein was surprised since not many have people watched it and admitted he had a hard time distinguishing Flag from DiCaprio. He asked Flag which one of them was king of the world. Flag replied DiCaprio was. Frankenstein shook his head side to side and pointed at Flag. He compared his love to "When Harry Met Sally..." and believed Bride knew they were destined to be together. Flag believed they could help each other. Frankenstein called him his best friend to Flag's surprise. Eric Frankenstein and Rick Flag Sr. made their way onto the campus of Terrebone University and observed Dr. MacPherson's Themyscira course from outside the lecture hall through a window. Frankenstein didn't find her behavior very professional. The students outside noticed them. Frankenstein pretended to be looking for a lost contact lens. The students dispersed. Frankenstein asked how this was helping him get to the Bride. Flag explained it was a trade-off: he helped him help Princess Ilana Rostovic and he helped him with the Bride.
Frankenstein noted the plan was taking a long time. Flag explained MacPherson was the one who claimed Circe's vision of Princess Ilana causing "World War III" was real. Frankenstein didn't see the point. Flag asked him if she seemed like she knew what she was talking about. He admitted she didn't. Flag continued that his Creature Commandos team were on their way to assassinate Princess Ilana so he wanted to find out the truth about MacPherson, stop the Commandos, and then Frankenstein would get to see the Bride, emphasizing he would be a hero. Frankenstein started to get it and asked if he should kill MacPherson. Flag told him no. He asked if he should kill a few kids. Flag asked why he had to kill anyone. Frankenstein pointed out he said he wanted him to be a hero. Flag clarified they should go and check out MacPherson's house while she was on campus. Frankenstein called dibs on her underwear drawer. Flag was speechless. Flag tried calling for Princess Ilana again but was hung up on.
They pulled up to MacPherson's house. Frankenstein was stunned to see a woman walking a cat on a leash and thought it could be a bad omen. Flag picked the lock on the front door and mused it was just a cat on a leash. Frankenstein wouldn't dispel something so odd to him and thought it was definitely an augury or some type and told him he once lived with a gypsy woman steeped in the occult. Flag went upstairs while Frankenstein looked at the collection of Amazonian artifacts. He called him up. Flag found the corpse of the real MacPherson. Frankenstein didn't get it. Flag believed the one they saw at the university was a disguise artist or someone working for Circe to throw them all off track to get Princess Ilana killed. Flag called Poko Castle again and managed to get ahold of Princess Ilana. He warned her the Creature Commandos were going to kill her. Frankenstein kept telling Flag to tell Ilana about him so she could put in a good word for him with the Bride. Flag eventually yelled at him to shut up. After the call he told Frankenstein that Bride probably wouldn't listen to Princess Ilana vouching for him on account of trying to kill her.
Frankenstein began to suspect the whole plan made absolutely no sense from his point of view. He saw the fake MacPherson pull up in the driveway and told him to hide. He pouted and stood behind a small bird cage in protest. Flag pointed at the bed. He continued to pout and hid behind the bed with part of his arm still showing. Flag sighed. The fake MacPherson dumped out a bag of cat food into a bowl for the real one's pet cat then retired to the den to play Mortal Kombat on an Xbox Series X/S. Flag and Frankenstein tried to sneak out the front door but Clayface detected them and tendrils snaked under the couch and grabbed them. He decked Flag, slammed him into a wall, and punched him repeatedly. Frankenstein broke free and charged but was restrained in Clayface's body. Flag shot a hole in him but it regenerated instantly. He continued punching Flag then slammed his back on his knee.
Frankenstein slowly forced a hand out and pulled a mini-speaker from a nearby wall socket. He was enveloped with clay again but he burst out, punched the socket, and ripped the wiring out then electrocuted himself and Clayface. Clayface lost cohesion and collapsed into a puddle of inert clay on the floor. Frankenstein told Flag not to die before he could ask him some lingering questions. He wanted to know if the Bride ever mentioned him by name. Flag coughed up blood. He wondered if that was a "yes" then asked if by his estimation, she said his name fondly. Flag told Frankenstein to tell the Bride the truth then he lost lost consciousness. Eric Frankenstein left Flag at the doors to a hospital emergency room then made his way to an airport. He boarded a private jet and killed its passengers. The co-pilot walked in on him crushing the head of the last one.
Frankenstein revealed there was be a slight change to the manifest and he would be joining his two friends to Pokolistan. He asked the co-pilot if he believed in love. He explained the woman he loved was about to make a tragic mistake and he needed to warn her because she was bamboozled by malevolent forces and she was about to kill someone she shouldn't. He was pretty sure once he did warn her, she wouldn't be able to deny how they were meant to be together. He ordered the co-pilot to turn around and fly. He complied. The pilot asked if everything was okay. He replied it was all good. The jet took off for Pokolistan. Upon landing, Eric Frankenstein stepped out, handed several U.S. hundred dollar bills to the co-pilot, and declared "home sweet home" in his native language. Eric Frankenstein took a cab to Poko Castle. He told Ivan, the driver, about his mission. Ivan was naturally very scared but got him to the castle.
Eric Frankenstein noticed the Bride bashing in the head of a royal guard and was amused she was still up to her old tricks. He climbed up the side of the tower barehanded. Frankenstein made it to the tower and addressed the Bride only to be quickly shot in the chest three times. He fell down to the castle grounds. Phosphorus asked if he was a paramour of hers. She told him to can it. She later jumped out the window and landed near Frankenstein. He tried to tell her about his and Rick Flag Sr.'s discovery but she shot him again then spat on him. Eric Frankenstein recuperated in the care of the old woman he assigned to watch Frankenstein Manor. He believed Bride's "overreaction" at the castle was more proof of the connection they had. He asked what kind of soup they were eating. The old woman revealed it was sparrow dropping soup. He thought it tasted disgusting. She agreed.
