As a measure of control, each inmate at Belle Reve Correctional Center are implanted with nanites designed to explode and effectively decapitate those who try to escape or otherwise pose a danger. Another button activates an unbearably painful jolt directly to the inmate's brain. Amanda Waller gave a Nanite Detonation Control to Rick Flag Sr. after she assigned him to lead Task Force M and used it to electrocute the Bride of Frankenstein, Dr. Phosphorus, and the Weasel for charging at them. G.I. Robot and Nina Mazursky were also electrocuted due to the control being set to electrocute all five at once. In Pokolistan, Dr. Phosphorus attempted to steal the control while Rick Flag Sr. was asleep but a fight broke out in Poko Castle. Flag eventually implied Waller gave him more than one and even if he escaped, he would be a Mexican jumping bean or worse if he told Waller what happened.
