Rough Cut is a black market diamond smuggler obsessed with diamonds, so much he possesses diamond teeth. His name describes his personality and the kinds of crude, unfinished diamonds he pedals. Feeling the economic pinch, Rough Cut diversified his operations and attempted to smuggle women out of Gotham City. On the night of the shipment, Rough Cut stopped at the Kitty Corner to see the adult performer, Buttermilk Skye. He tipped her with one of his diamonds.
However, after Skye finished, Catwoman came onto stage and took out Rough Cut's henchmen. Rough Cut opened fire with his golden gun and fled the club. Catwoman continued to pursue him, but he opened fire and left her for dead. Rough Cut arrived at the docks and fought Catwoman. She managed to flip the truck he was driving over and Rough Cut was flung into the ocean. He was likely fished out by the Gotham City Police Department.
