The Wonderland Gang consists of criminals based on characters from Alice in Wonderland. The Carpenter also moonlights as a fix-it gal to Gotham City's criminal elite. Mad Hatter and his Wonderland Gang, consisting of The Walrus, The Carpenter, The March Hare, and Tweedledum & Tweedledee, broke into a warehouse to steal new circuitry Hatter needed for his mind control devices. Batman and Robin happened upon intelligence about the heist. Since it was a school night, Batman sent Robin home and he went alone to confront Hatter and the Wonderland Gang.

Red Hood observed from afar. Hatter ordered them to get Batman. Batman kicked Carpenter then backhanded Walrus' face with a crowbar. Batman could imagine Robin using a "Tusk-tusk" pun and figured he would have enjoyed the fight. Batman threw an electric Batarang at March Hare and electrocuted her. Tweedledum and Tweedledee rushed Batman in unison. Batman simply knocked their heads into each other. Mad Hatter attempted to gut Batman with a fork lift but he jumped atop the roof, quoting Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland. Hatter drove through the wall and plummeted outside.

The Penguin flew to his tropical retreat Key Nest for the holidays and hired the Carpenter to repair the Iceberg Lounge. Carpenter heard Harley Quinn had cash to rent a private club for her Christmas party so she made a side deal to loan the Lounge out as the party venue. Harley and Poison Ivy mostly invited other super criminals to the party, including the rest of the Wonderland Gang. March Hare volunteered as the bartender. After the newly rehabilitated Arnold Wesker arrived, Harley took him over to the bar where Carpenter was. Wesker recalled she did amazing bullet repairs on Scarface. Carpenter told him there was no need to dig up the past. Carpenter got a call from Penguin to check up on her progress. She hammered a wreath to a column but he thought he heard party music. She lied she was playing the jukebox and Penguin realized the Lounge didn't have one. She wished him Merry Christmas and hung up.

Harley Quinn thanked March Hare for tending the bar. Hare told her it was Christmas and everyone needed a tumble down the sink. Baby Doll went to the bar and ordered a Mai Tai and a booster seat. March Hare held the drink up high and asked her for identification. Baby Doll joked she should call her babysitter or her parole officer. Hare gave her the drink and they toasted. Later on, after Knute Brody, secretly Batman in disguise, mentioned he saw the police pulling up about ten minutes ago. Carpenter happened to be on the phone with the Penguin again. She told him it wasn't a raid, just Batman singing Christmas carols with the police.

March Hare posed as "Ms. Hanbury," Emerson Mayfield's campaign manager. One night, security alerted her about a breach. She went to check on Mayfield and found him ruffled at his balcony. He informed her he had a little heart-to-heart with Batman. He claimed he almost had him but his willpower was too strong, almost inhuman. Hanbury asked how much Batman knew and if they were in trouble. Mayfield said they weren't yet but they were too close to victory to take a chance and decided to bring in someone. Hanbury noted they had several players in the wings and asked who he had in mind. Mayfield was amused she called it "player" and revealed he was thinking about "the actor." Clayface was sent to take out Batman. During a rally at the Iceberg Lounge, Barbara Gordon brought Bruce Wayne backstage. She warned him Hanbury had the eyes of a hawk, or a vulture to be more accurate. Almost on cue, Hanbury scolded Gordon about taking an unauthorized person backstage. Mayfield noticed Wayne and declared they could make an exception.

The next night, Gordon got to meet Mayfield at his estate, now a satellite campaign office. She was promoted to Director of Media Relations. Hanbury was asked to show Gordon her office. Hanbury told her it was good to have her and reiterated Mayfield was confident she was the person to help with creating positive online interaction with young voters. Gordon noted how she was an ice queen the night before, but was now acting like Mary Poppins. Gordon noticed a door down a hall. Hanbury grabbed her arm and told her that wing was reserved for the strategy room but her office was in the east wing. Gordon apologized and implored her to lead the way. She sensed a hint of cockney beneath her posh accent. Later that night, after most had went home, Hanbury went to strategy room and spoke to Mad Hatter. Gordon broke in and realized why Mayfield was doing so well in the polls. She was knocked out from behind by Mayfield.

Hanbury returned to the room with tea. She overheard Mayfield talking about how his enhanced cane was a godsend for politicians. She quipped it would be good for comedians, too, and some people didn't see a difference between the two. She took off her disguise and started talking in her regular accent. She announced Hill Junior and Mayfield were in a dead heat in the polls. Barbara Gordon instantly recognized her. Hare pointed out she warned Mayfield not to hire her because she was a curtain twitcher and nothing but Barney. Mayfield asked Hatter for the American translation. Hatter summarized she said Gordon was trouble. He didn't disagree.

On Election Day, Mr. Wing was sent to Emerson Mayfield's estate to provide additional security as a political favor. March Hare wondered why the "budgie" was around. Wing retorted by telling her not to get her ears in a twist and called her "Lola." Mayfield explained he was there for protection since Batman was now aware of Mad Hatter's involvement in his scheme. He presented a suicide letter he wrote for Gordon to copy in her own handwriting. Hare asked Gordon how she felt about that. Still under mind control, she blankly stared. Following Mayfield's orders, March Hare took the mind controlled Barbara Gordon to a roof near the WGOB news building to commit suicide to further heighten the scandal. Nightwing intervened and threw a Wing Ding that knocked Gordon's mind control headband off and bounced off Hare's head. He revealed he looked through the call log on Gordon's phone and discovered Ms. Hanbury was March Hare.

Hare congratulated him on being quite the detective but thought it was a pity he never saw "him coming." Mr. Wing appeared and punched him. They fought. Hare used her taser rabbit ears to shock Gordon. Hare advised Gordon to have taken the drop. She kicked Hare and the resulting impact caused her to self-electrocute herself. Gordon quipped she believed her. Hare was sent to Arkham Asylum in bandages. After the new year, March Hare attempted to steal Faberge eggs but got into a shoot out with police. She happened to get a call from Harley Quinn about a girl's night out. Hare promised to call her the next day or in 5 to 20 years then ran for it. Harley Quinn finally hosted a girls' night at Taqueria Tiki with March Hare, Roxy Rocket, and Baby Doll. Amanda Waller stated Task Force X needed her help even though she already served her time. Harley quickly declined. Waller ordered King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and Katana to take Baby Doll, Roxy Rocket, and March Hare instead.

Before March Hare could blast Katana, the tops of her ears were sliced off. Waller ordered them to fit Rocket and Baby with neck bombs while she made sure Hare got deported. She took out her phone and showed Deadshot and the Muscle holding Poison Ivy hostage. Harley caved and agreed to do her dirty work but warned if Ivy or her friends got hurt, she would kill her. March Hare was later one of the criminals kidnapped by Ra's al Ghul's Talons and imprisoned for months until she was released by Catwoman. Some like March Hare and Mad Hatter stayed back since they were still powerless. Catwoman threw down weapons. Hare opened fire. She was arrested by the police.
