Hub City is located in southern Illinois. It was notorious for a history of corruption until the rise of the Blue Beetle. The city is also headquarters to the technology firm, K.O.R.D. Enterprises. Only Batman, Booster Gold, Skeets, and the latest Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes are privy to the secret entrance to Blue Beetle's headquarters hidden in K.O.R.D. Enterprises. In the northwest section of the city lies the Hub City Nuclear Reactor. Much like Stryker's Island Penitentiary in Metropolis, Hub Island Penitentiary is isolated on a body of water, either the Chicago River, Illinois River, or Lake Michigan. A statue in honor of Blue Beetle (the Ted Kord incarnation) was erected in the Hub City Central Park.
